I think that willpower is just high IQ, the more neuron clusters that you have, the less your behavior will be tied to instincts, to basic chemical behavior. Humans are basically not actually soul having devices, not conscious by default, at least most are not. There is of course a degree of consciousness and most drop out at the food consciousness (since there are so many fats right now)
