I lack the mobility to do a proper high bar squat. Anybody have a really easy way to work up to proper form?

tactical frogs and calf stretches and play with stance width

how does this help
On a vaguely related topic I seem to lack the mobility to grip lowbar properly. The main thing I want to strengthen is my lower back so I switching to high bar a bad idea?

honestly I wear shitty lifting shoes AND put a plate under my heels.
Cant help you specifically without more detail. A video would help the most.
Problems with the rack position is usually due to tight arm muscles, tris and bis. Problems with depth are almost always due to ankle mobility

This is a troll, right?

Deadlift is much better for low back.
But SHW lifters usually just take a super wode grip. Your upper back can get loosey goosey doing this so be careful

I find that small plates work, but if you can, grab some oly shoes.

SHW?

Shit, I read this as front squat not high bar.
Rack position is shoulders, but really in a high bar Ive never seen somehave an issue. Depth could be anything, but probably tight ankles again. Do the limber 11, kts good for your spine anyway, and it will clear up any hip issues. If you still have problems, find ankle mobility stuff to do

Super heavyweight. Fatasses and those with backs so thick they lose a ton of mobility.

No. My family are slavs and every single one of them can hold a relaxed ATG for as long as they need to cause they were raised doing it. I grew up in america so everything about me is fukd and requires reeducation.
