Thinking about going on ADHD meds. Tried to pull off the discipline self to pay attention thing, it's not working.
Considering asking for a dexedrine prescription. How much will this harm my health? Sadly I'm at my wit's end. The anxiety and distraction has become too much so mood pills it is.

I am on here for 10+ hours per day, doing nothing. Wasting away.
Easy answer is to just get off and do something else, but that's not going to happen.
Everyone has different reactions of course, but you will wind up habituated on them. I asked for a perscription in HS because I thought it would make me a much better student. I started with Concerta (ritalin extended release), moved to adderall which after 6 months of that has me acting strangely. Finally I moved to dex, although similar to adderall, taking 40 mg per day after I moved out on my own with nothing to do, acting like a tweaker. I was basically dropped by all my friends for seeming like a drug addict. As an adult it would be different, but you will act in characteristic ways that people can spot.
When I quit I went into a fucking bad depression for a while as well. Health wise, it was hard to eat, body was strong, and endurance was good, but it made me smoke cigarettes like a fiend. I suspect it fucked with my hairline very badly but that might be a coincidence.

Try some L-Phenylalanine or N-Acetyl-Tyrosine first. I have ADHD and they help with my ability to stay focused.

Second point, I would go on the computer and waste wayy more time. I would just hyperfocus on the same shitty websites. I dare you to take a couple dex and on look at porn for a "minute or two"... You'll end up wanking it for at least 11 hours straight. You'll do the same pointless shit, but feel like it has more purpose.
I reccomend something different, maybe Modafinil. Pls dont become an amphetamine junkie.

I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult (had it since I was a kid, but my parents were too stubborn and stupid to actually allow them to medicate/treat me, and THEY NEVER TOLD ME A DAMN THING! But I digress..) and they put me on Adderall XR. Did it alleviate the symptoms and help me stay focused? Hell yes! But it also, after a while made me feel like I COULD DO ANYTHING, and had seemingly boundless energy. Some time later I lost my job (2008) and health insurance, and had to go off it. Looking back later I realized what the stuff was doing to my personality, and it scared me a little. Friends I've had for years confirmed: It was affecting my personality in ways that weren't healthy and a little scary. I loved the feeling of being on Adderall, but I would never allow myself to take it again, either, because I really wasn't in control.

Wow, we have a similar story I guess, I started getting majorly fucked also because I lost my job delivering furniture in '08. I was poor too for a while, and my gf left right as I quit the stuff. It indeed made rock bottom hit even harder.
I used concerta for almost a year, got really paranoid and insanely quick to anger but I also could work like a motherfucker without break made me sweat like a rapist though . I quit because the negative effects started overshadowing the positive somewhere along the line. I wish I never did them in the first place honestly, I felt like a god the first few months

Op I have adhd diagnosed. What works for me is sectioning of time where I put a way all distractions and have everything I need to study. I buy amphetamine salt from a close friend and I use the minimum dose as required. Same thing as Adderal except I have more dose control and its instant release. I only use it as if I have to taking very frequent breaks works if you don't have too much work. It will fuck with your gains and appetite. Also the comedowns are depressing as fuck. Good luck man

I got hit by a car when I was 11. If I wanted adderall I'd just have to go ask for it, but it makes me incredibly angry. It did kill my appetite while I was taking it though. Also, math came to me like a second language. I wasn't bad at it before, but it was way easier after.
