Then I got my blood sugar under control, and had to have my appendix removed several months later. Got pneumonia in the hospital as well. The doc said I wasn't allowed to lift anything > 20 lbs for any reason for a few months.
After that, I did shitty gym machines to get better, then started lifting for the first time ever with just the bar.
TL;DR start with the bar, if you can't do that start with bodyweight, if you can't do that, gym machines.

I would argue a large portion of people have no business in having children. Yet they still do. Some parents come out better and pull through strong and raise great kids, but for every one of them there's more who were just mistakes.
That's what is really sad. I think a person making a conscious decision to not have children for "x" reason is way better than the alternative and just going for it like so many shitty parents do.
