Welcome to /skin/, the skincare general.

§ Cleanse

This should be the first thing you do in your skincare routine. If you have dry or normal skin, you can get away with doing this step once per day. If you have oily skin, you may want to perform this step twice per day.

Cleansers remove the dirt and grime from your skin. You should use the most gentle cleanser possible that still cleanses your skin properly.

Some cleanser product recommendations:

• CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser (normal to oily skin): http://www.cerave.com/our-products/cleansers/foaming-facial-cleanser
• CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (normal to dry skin): http://www.cerave.com/our-products/cleansers/hydrating-cleanser

§ Exfoliate

Exfoliation removes the dead skin from your skin. Exfoliation commonly helps with acne, and improves the look of your skin because it removes the dead skin cells.

How often you exfoliate depends on what skincare product(s) you are using and how sensitive your skin is to exfoliation. There are two different types of exfoliation—chemical and physical. Chemical exfoliation is preferred since it more evenly exfoliates your skin and is less likely to damage your skin than physical exfoliation. Because of this, physical exfoliation will not be discussed yet in this general.

Chemical exfoliant products are subdivided into Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) exfoliants and Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) exfoliants. Use AHA exfoliants if your skin has a lot of wrinkles and sun damage or use BHA exfoliants if your skin is acne-prone or you have clogged pores. You can mix the usage of AHA exfoliants and BHA exfoliants, but that is beyond the scope of this general at the current time.

Chemical exfoliants vary in strength, so how often you can use an exfoliant is entirely dependent on the strength of the exfoliant and the sensitivity of your skin to exfoliation. Experiment with how often you exfoliate. No matter how often you exfoliate, it should always be done after cleansing. You should wait at least twenty minutes before continuing your skincare routine once you are done exfoliating to let your skin’s pH return to normal.

If you are using a retinoid (such as tretinoin gel) then you should be much more wary about using exfoliants, since retinoids make your skin much more sensitive.

Some AHA exfoliant product recommendations:

• Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads (low strength): http://www.nipandfab.com/skincare/glycolic-fix/glycolic-fix-pads

§ Moisturize

Moisturizing returns moisture to your skin. Moisture is essential for your skin to appear full and healthy. You should always moisturize after cleansing or exfoliating.
>>
>>37754044
Some moisturizing product recommendations:

• CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (normal to dry skin): http://www.cerave.com/our-products/moisturizers/moisturizing-cream
• CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion (normal to oily skin): http://www.cerave.com/our-products/moisturizers/moisturizing-lotion
• Nivea Creme (normal to dry skin): http://www.niveausa.com/products/NIVEA-Creme
• Pure jojoba oil (all skin types)
• Simulates natural human sebum. A lot of people love pure jojoba oil for moisturizing, conditioning, and for many other uses.

>tfw you used to be really fat and now have visible abs but loose skin

>>
>>37754056
§ Protect

Eighty percent of skin aging is caused by sun damage: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24101874

Protecting your skin against the sun is one of the most beneficial things that you can do for your skin. You should protect your skin once you are done moisturizing and if you are going to be going out into the sun.

There are three different kinds of UV rays which are radiated by the sun: UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVA penentrates deep into your skin and causes aging, UVB causes burning, skin discoloration, and cancer, and UVC is the most dangerous for humans but is stopped by Earth’s atmosphere. Good protection against the sun involves blocking as many UVA rays and UVB rays as possible.

There are two different types of protection: physical and chemical. Physical protection is referred to as sunblock, whereas chemical protection is referred to as sunscreen. There are some types of products which provide both physical and chemical protection, they are referred to as either sunblock or sunscreen depending upon the dominant type of protection.

Sunblock literally covers your skin with a physical substance such as zinc which blocks UVA, UVB, or UVA and UVB rays. Sunscreen absorbs chemicals into your skin which when set (takes around thirty minutes on average) will absorb the sun’s rays and protect your skin from damage. Sunscreens are normally preferred when you do not want your skin to look ghastly from sunblock, but sometimes they are unavailable to individuals since they can cause breakouts of acne.

For every two hours of direct sun exposure, you must reapply your sun protection.
>>
>>37754069
Sun protection products provide two different scales to measure the amount of protection that they provide: Sun Protection Factor (SPF) and Persistent Pigment Darkening (PPD). SPF measures your protection against UVB rays while PPD measures your protection against UVA rays. Your sun protection should provide a SPF rating of at least thirty (fifty is recommended) and a PPD rating of at least 8 (higher is recommended).

American sunscreens should be avoided when possible, since the Food and Drug Association regulates sun protection products, and is very lazy at approving sun protection formulations which have been approved of in virtually every other country. A lot of European sunscreens, for example, are rated very highly but are technically illegal in the United States. Because of this, most American sun protection formulations are terrible when compared to formulations found in other countries.

Some sun protection product recommendations:

• Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen Face: https://www.bluelizard.net/products/sunscreen-face-5oz
• BioDerma Photoderm MAX Crème SPF 50+: http://www.bioderma.com/en/our-products/photoderm/max-creme-spf-50
• BioDerma Photoderm MAX Spray SPF 50+: http://www.bioderma.com/en/our-products/photoderm/max-spray-spf-50
• Contains alcohol.
>>
>>37754078
§ On alcohol

Alcohol in your skincare products should be avoided whenever possible. It dries your skin out and is not helpful.

§ On fatty alcohols

Fatty alcohols are not drying to your skin but can cause clogged pores in certain individuals. If you break out when trying a skincare product, it may be because it has fatty alcohols in it. A lot of skincare products contain fatty alcohols, so finding skincare products without fatty alcohols can prove difficult. This general needs to provide skincare products which do not contain fatty alcohols.

These are all legit products that my dermatologist suggested I use. I haven't started yet because I still have a big stick of CVS cleaner I bought in bulk that I want to use up first
>>37754056
This is also the moisturizer stuff the dermatologist suggested and I use one with spf

I use some other day ointment and night ointment which I forget the name of

This is a good topic

I would also suggest to sleep on a different pillow case each night, or cover it with a different towel each night. In the morning I just wish my face with water and apply ointment and spf. Night is when I use cleanser and my face still is too oily so I might need to start using the other kind of face wash that is not salycilic acid based

I have an issue.

My dick is raw, like bad raw. The problem is that when it is healing, the skin gets dry and when I get a hard-on at night, it causes the healing skin to crack then peel then the cycle starts over.

How do I keep my dick skin moisturized or how do I keep the skin from peeling long enough for this to heal?
>>
Since this is skin care and all anyone whos been on this shit could help, gonna be on roccatane/accutane whatever in the next few months, advises not to drink alcohol and also possible joint pains, are these guidelines serious or should they be followed

I tried that, my underwear rubs it off, and I cannot just stop work every hour to re-apply.

Trying Vitamin E capsules now, but it doesn't seem to be working any differently.
>>
>>37754277
>>37754307
Even tried vasoline + gauss wrapped around my dick to keep it moisturized.

Also didn't work.

Shit has lasted about 3 months, and I am getting tired of it.
>>
Good stuff anon. Is there a complete line of products by a single company i can buy that covers everything?

Also what about face scrub? I have one of those with little physical balls that scrape the skin and remove shit. Is that exfoliation?

Also how do i get tanned without ruining my skin? I look so much better with a glowish tan but i know it will cause wrinkles long term
>>
Natty vegan here, prebed routine inc.

First get 2 avocados and some lemon juice, open up, remove pit, and mash them up. Add some garlic and/or salt pepper. Rub at least 2 tbsp on ur face to remove and clean blackheads. Serves like 2-3

I followed them it wasnt too bad but i was 17. Not sure i can handle it now.

Make sure you complete the treatment. I had to stop after 6 months because of unrelated reasons and my acne came back a year later. You are supposed to take it several months after its gone

I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

Apply Nivea Creme moisturizer (link above) to it and then apply vaseline to it. Once done, wrap it in gauze and hope for the best. Strap your dick down somehow at night so that it cannot get hard.

CeraVe and Cetaphil are your best bet for an affordable and simple product line.

The issue is that they are both American companies and thus their sun protection formulations are nowhere near as quality as other countries'. CeraVe's sunblock for example, makes your skin ghastly white because of its extreme zinc contents.

>>
>>37754602
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I listen to what my dermatologist says to do. I exercise daily, shower twice a day, and my diet is pretty spot on. I don't eat processed foods pretty much ever and all I drink are water and milk. I don't have any allergies. I change my pillow cases daily. I know shitty skin runs in my mom's side of the family, and I naturally have extremely oily skin, but I don't think it's enough to be causing acne.
Sometimes I wonder if it's because I'm putting too much on my face.
>>
>>37754650
If youre a teenager then the only thing you can do is wait. Either that or hop back on accutane

Make sure to never touch your face and always use clean pillow sheets and face towels. Also drink 3-4L of water every day

>>
>>37754355
That physical ball is physical exfoliation. I highly recommend that you stop using it and instead start using one of the chemical exfoliants listed above. They exfoliate much more evenly and do not damage your skin as much as physical exfoliation does.

You cannot get tanned via traditional manners. Anything that subjects your skin to UV rays ages your skin and increases you chances of getting cancer. The best you can do is get a spray tan.
>>
>>37754916
I'm seeing my dermo soon. I'll ask him about it. The only milk I drink is organic chocolate milk post workout with organic protein supplement and regular organic milk with oatmeal. The chocolate milk could be causing an insulin spike due to a higher glycemic index. From a brief reading of the link you sent me, it says the cow's natural hormones are still in there, but the mentioning of the organic stuff is for clarification. I also eat a lot of Plain Greek Yogurt, but I doubt that's the cause.
My mom thinks it's from working out and a boost of testosterone causing it.
I don't know though.

Did I do well /skin/? I already have cerav normal to oily face wash and just got these. They didn't have stridex at my Walgreens so I got the most trustworthy looking salicylic acid pads. One question about the lotion, it says normal to dry but this thread recommends if for normal to oily. I have oily skin.
>>
i refuse to believe 80% of skin aging is caused by sun exposure. Wrinkles are caused by contorting your face. People who are expressive with their face look older. yes sun can make your skin look bad, but the expressions are what really age you. I knew a woman who said she had horrible sun damage and yet looked fairly young still.
>>
>>37755202
look into clindamycin gel, i use one along with finacea every once a while (like once or twice a week) and went clear shortly after and stay that way as long as I continue to use them

fuck the whole "eat clean drink water" bullshit that people who have ONE breakout do and then think they have this miracle cure, go to a fucking derm and keep going until they give you something that works.

i tried doxycycline pills first, saw and improvement but its bad for your guts and also just doesn't work as good as putting the gel that I use on. its called ziana, and it has the clindamycin and a mild steroid in it. and the other is finacea
>>
>>37755653
Some dark circles are genetic, not environmental. I forget the exact details, but I think it has to do with the shape of the eye socket and the thickness of the skin around your eyes. You may be somewhat boned there.

Blackheads are also sort of genetic, because some people just have large pores that makes them develop easier and more visible. But using a double-cleansing method (oil based cleanser first to dissolve the gunk in your face, then a normal cleanser to clean) helped my blackheads out a lot. So did using a konjac sponge to wash, which gives you some extra low-key exfoliation every day.
>>
>>37754078
I have really bad problems with acne-prone and greasy skin, and I used to make it worse by not properly moisturizing because most creams/lotions made just made my face feel extra greasy. I eventually realized that gel-based moisturizers did the best job of actually moisturizing my face without making it oiler, and once your face is properly moisturized it won't be as greasy and your acne will heal up a lot faster.

I like Etude's Moistfull Collagen, but most of the common US skincare brands have gel-based moisturizers too.
>>
I just cleaned, exfoliated, and moisturized. I am using the cerav moisturizing lotion, and it says on the bottle "for normal to dry skin" but in this thread it is recommended for normal to oily skin. This is my first time exfoliating in a long time and my first time moisturizing my face ever. I have an oily face and acne. should I continue to use this moisturizer?

Btw exfoliating feels amazing. I could feel it working in my skin. Thanks for this thread familia.
>>

>>37754026
Awesome read, can you lend me some help I'm just a bit confused about the order to apply these things and what they exactly are.

So first I cleanse, exfoliate and then moisturise? A few days ago I just picked up some oil free cleanser than has 2.5% benzoyl peroxide in it, says apply 1-2 times a day, I picked this up because in every acne thread I have ever seen benzoyl peroxide seems to be something that is highly recommended but I don't see it mentioned in your post, I thought I was doing alright but I guess I need to exfoliate and moisturise also as part of my routine? I just turned 20 and sleep on a fresh towel/wash my face every night but my face is never perfect or where I'm super confident, thanks
>>
>>37758758
Yes, you cleanse/exfoliate/moisturize in that order. And Benzoyl Peroxide is a chemical exfoliant, so basically your cleanser should be exfoliating as you wash your face. If you use another separate exfoliator on top of that it'll probably be too much and your face will peel off. When I started using chemical exfoliants I only used it every other day at first to give my skin a chance to get used to it, but everybody's different and some people actually need something stronger, so that might not be necessary if you don't have any redness or peeling after the first couple of uses.

Google Paula's Choice Ingredient Dictionary, it has a fairly comprehensive list of ingredients with a brief summary of the scientific backing associated with each one. It's a good starting point, at least. You have to read the actual explanation paragraphs, though, because some of them are ranked good/excellent or whatever because they are good for you, but they might not necessarily do anything if applied topically. Also, everybody's skin is different, something ranked poorly because it's generally too drying may be just what your skin needs, etc.

I used to use some drug store blackhead specific washes years ago, I think I tried a Neutrogena brand and something else, I stopped because they didn't do anything. Most acne specific face washes I've tried don't help get rid of my blackhead or acne, they just inflamed it. Right now I use Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser, but any relatively gentle face cleanser like Cetaphil should work if you're using it with the oil-based cleanser.

For the oil based cleansers, I'm talking about Korean-style oil based facial cleansers they use for the double-cleansing method (there are plenty of western brands too, I'm just not as familiar with them). They use different oils, but the basic theory is that the oil in the wash dissolves the grime in your face, which is mostly oil-based, and then it all gets washed with your normal cleanser. Soko Glam has some good write-ups on it on their blog and has good brands in their store, just don't buy anything from their site because it's fucking expensive. Once you find a brand you like you can get it of amazon or ebay cheaper. A lot of people like Banila's Clean It Zero, I usually use Skinfood's Black Sugar Cleansing Oil.

It gets confusing because there's also the Oil Cleansing Method, which is straight putting olive oil on your face, but that really only works if your skin is insanely dry. Everyone I know who's tried it did lose their blackheads, but then started getting deep cystic acne instead, which is way fucking worse.
>>
>>37754321
I think it's time to see a doctor about that, senpai. If you're not death-gripping your own junk dry on a daily basis you should have seen at least some progress by now.

I used to use the scrubs with the little balls in them, and they worked reasonably well for me until I somehow got one of the little plastic balls wedged in under my eyelid and I couldn't get it out. I thought those things dissolved, but I was wrong, and after a sleepless night of intense pain every time my eye so much as twitched (your eyes actually move so much more than I thought) I had to go have an eye doctor numb half my face and flip the lid all the way back and get in there with some goddamn pliers. When she was done, she told me "Well anon, the good news is it doesn't look like there's any permanent scarring," which I hadn't even realized was a possibility before and now I have nightmares about it.

Never, ever use the little plastic ball scrubs.

Puberty is when it starts for most people, but your skin continues to get drier as you get older for basically the rest of your life. It's not unusual for people to not see improvement until well after they've left high school. You said you might be putting to much on your face - if you're using a lot of acne products and not moisturizing enough, it is possible you're just irritating your skin and making it worse. It also may be hormonal - you can try stopping cow dairy, like the other anon suggested, and if that doesn't work after a trial period you might just need to see a dermatologist to get a drug for it.

Make sure those pads don't have alcohol in them, alcohol is bad for your skin.

The moisturizing lotion is recommended over the moisturizing cream for people with oily skin since it is less potent. This is one of the few cases where I'd ignore the branding. Most moisturizers cater to folk with dry skin since most people see oily skin and instantly think this moisturiser sucks.

Anyone here have or had "keratosis pilaris" and what they do or done to help? I'm planning on going to a dermatologist and hopefully get rid of mine if that's possible before the year is over. Shit sucks.

Any recommendations for stretch marks?

I actually had to do research on this because we had clients call in about it at the law firm I used to work at. From what I remember, the concerns are overblown. There's no solid scientific evidence that any common sunscreen ingredient is harmful in the amounts used. There were some bullshit causation/correlation claims (skin cancer rates are increasing as sunscreen usage rates are increasing, oh no!!!! surely there is no other reason why skin cancer may have become a more common diagnosis over the last fifty years!), and then there was a study where they injected rats with some of the chemicals used and observed hormone disorders. Those sorts of studies are almost always useless though, because nobody injects sunscreen directly into themselves. There are also some somewhat common allergens that get used, but people can be allergic to anything, up to and including water, and the fact that somebody is allergic to something doesn't make that thing toxic. The hormone thing is mostly an issue with chemical sunblockers, because your skin probably does absorb some of it into your bloodstream, although there's no evidence that the amount you can get from sunscreen is actually dangerous. If you're worried about it you can just use a physical sunblock instead - some of the chemicals in them also get called out for causing cancer, but there's zero evidence you can absorb them through your skin. There's separate concerns over the spray-on versions because of the risk you're inhaling it, but that's common to nearly all spray-on products. You just have to be careful applying it.

Some people also complain it causes Vitamin D deficiencies, but that's really only a concern if you live somewhere with very little sun, or if you're very dark skinned and live somewhere with only moderate sun. That, and it's easily fixed with a supplement.

yeah it sucks dick. For some people, keeping the skin moist will solve it.
>moisturising often and after showers
>keep out of sun
>some other shit

while other need creams to solve it. I'm on a prescription cream now from GP and its improving slowly

Blog post incoming but I'm at the end of my tether.

Since the age of 18 I had acne breakouts only during the winter- always on my forehead. I'm 20 now and this last breakout has lasted nearly a year. It's unbearable and I feel like a freak. I keep cancelling social occasions because I don't want to be looked at.

My routine:

In the morning I wash my face with tea tree face wash.
In the evening I scrub my skin with a rough pad and soap- this seems to have helped a little. I then press a damp green tea bag into th affected areas, wait half an hour and apply duac topical cream I was prescribed.

I dont eat dairy or junk food, drink only green tea and water. My gains have really suffered, but I've even stopped going to th gym because it seems to bring me out in spots.

Please guys in absolutely desperate. Pic related is mfw from when I was at a fancy dress party and a qt.314 asked me why I was so spotty. I tried to play it cool and responded that I had come as a join the dots diagram but inside it hurt

I did not know that, I thought going in the sun and the increase in Vitamin D would've been Good for it haha.

What do you use after shaving? Every time i shave i get zero cuts, everything is smooth, i apply Nivea's after shave without alcohol to moisturize my skin after it and every time 2-3 days later when my bear starts to grow a lot of pimples show up. My dermatologist gave me something for that but it's sill not working. I'm thinking that's becasue it's not the sking problem by my bear hair. Their pretty curly so whever they get long i have typical alloha snackbar bear. I tried to scrub my chin, and neck with a sponge every day to help them get out instead of becominb ingrowns but it still didn't help.

ill help anon, i was in the same situation

1. both my doctor AND dermatologist told me that diet has nothing to do with acne
2. stop any attempt at self-medicating (towels, scrubs, lotions etc)
3. call your doctor for a dermatologist appointment right now

you need heavy duty oral acne medicine
he gave me Isotretinoine Aurobindo pills, but it might have different names in different countries

it has a ton of (temporary) side effects, but it works fantastically, its worth it.

>STOP SELF MEDICATING
>GO TO DERMATOLOGIST

I don't have access to a derm, my doctor prescribed me lymecycline pills and won't give me a referral until I've finished those. By that time I'll be studying in another r country with little access to such specialised healthcare.

Am I just fucked?

>this guy knows whats up.
Whenever you've got a problem don't search for shit on internet, save yourself time and go straight to the doctor.
When i started balding when i was 18 i was devastated. I wasted 1 year not doing anything telling myself that being bald isn't that bad. (it is, especially when you're in highschool and you're the only bald guy.) I went to the doctor she gave me finasteride treatment, also adviced me to grow my hair and start using special special shampoo. I did not only that but started using conditioner. I still have a MPB but my hair are getting thicker an i can see new ones growing out (still saving for a hair transplant tho). To all of anons who think are balding: GO TO DERMATOLOGIST NOW AND START TAKING CARE OF YOUR HAIR. Also if you use only finasteride or shampoo or something you won't see much of a effect. To effectively fight balding you must have at lest a few products otherwise you're just slowing it down and not even stopping it.

Stay away from Cerave, all their products have parabens, which are linked to lower sperm count and poor endocrine function

You can easily avoid it, and find products that don't have shitty chemicals in them
>>
>>37759640
I haven't tried it yet but I'm about too, but I've heard body lotions with physical exfoliants (like AHA, BHA or Sacylic acid) help a lot. I've heard good things about the stuff Paula's Choice makes but they're expensive and sometimes one acid will work for your skin type and another won't, so I'm trying to figure out if I can get a sample size set or something somewhere.
>>
>>37762034
This is an old meme that's been debunked by several studies. You can look it up on the FDA website. Parabens don't cause hormone disruption when they're applied to the skin, they've been used for decades and they're perfectly safe. People work themselves into a panic about perservatives all the time, but they're important in maintaing the shelf-stability and safety of most lotions. If you don't have something like parabens in your lotions, they start getting bacteria in them way sooner and that just makes your face worse.
>>
>>37754060
Why are you down about it? That's a huge achievement and now you're healthier because of it

Also thank you OP for this thread, you're a godsend
>>
>>37763829
yeah the FDA is always lookin out for us ;-)
>>
>>37763867
The FDA is a business-oriented agency, but the Dr.Oz style garbage "healthy/natural" movement is also a multi-million dollar business that has no problem lying to you with bullshit studies about tenuous cancer correlations to scare you into buying their overpriced alternatives. There is no valid scientific evidence linking parabens to cancer or hormone disorders.

>acne

One thing that might help is when you sleep on your pillow, try not to sleep with ur cheeks touching the pillow. Pillows collect dust and other dirty particles as its left lying on the bed throughout the day which makes pressing your face against it a bad idea.

Try to sleep with your head straight or a soft towel or shirt on top of your pillow every night before you sleep so you're pressing your face on a clean surface.
>>
>>37754026

Should you wash and exfoliate with hot water and use cold water before you moisturize?
>>
>>37764092

Or I guess what I mean is, when you should you be trying to open and close pores. Do certain products always need them to be open or anything?
>>
>>37763867
They are though? The FDA makes sure the product has everything the company tells them it contains and that they don't state lies about their product. In return the company can "imply" what their product as long as they don't state untruths, which is also why so many products have " these statements not evaluated by the FDA" as a legal disclaimer.
>>
>>37764106
Use water that is as cold as you can handle comfortably.

Hot water is bad for both your skin and your hair. It destroys all of the natural sebum in your skin and hair. While at first this may seem beneficial to those who struggle with oily faces and acne, once your body detects that it has very little natural sebum it will create a ton more to replace it. This influx of sebum will create more acne and make your skin and hair even more oily than it originally was.

Pores also cannot open nor close, water temperature does not affect your skin's pores whatsoever.
>>
>>377606
That looks genetic, not like the puffiness you get from bad habits/allergies, so it's gonna be hard to deal with. A Vitamin C/Retanoid might help if it's just thin skin, or a prescription strength skin lightener if it's pigmentation. I would talk to a derma, because all those things can have side effects and you don't want to damage the skin around your eyes or accidentally blind yourself.

I got stretch marks bad.
I really dont care about the ones on my body, but the ones on my arms need to go so I can wear short-selves in peace.

Anything you guys would recommend?
>>
Not going to guarantee anything since I may get lazy, but I am currently working on a better sticky which could be viewed as a webpage. It will discuss a few additional things that the current sticky does not.

Is your work on GitHub?
>>
>>37768031
No it is not, I would rather not put it up there anyway so as to remain anonymous.

I just have the moisturizing and protection sections to finish. I also want to touch on patch testing, paradems, alcohol, fatty alcohols, spot treatment, determining your skin type, water temperature, water hardness, drying methods (pat drying instead of rubbing), and anything else that comes to mind.

Nobody should expect a miracle, I am doing this in my free time and may lose my ambition anyway. If I do lose my ambition I will probably release my unfinished work to the community so that you guys can finish it if you want to.

I use the Noxzema anti blemish pads. They have alcohol but for some reason its not as harsh as the stridex or anything else I use.

What kind of exfoliator do you recommend? Been meaning to try the Granier Charcoal one but im reluctant on putting anything black on my face.

Nah. I see most people who complain about their face eat cereal and drink liters of soda all day and ask why god is punishing them. Its literally 80% diet and 20% genes.

No, we care about looks. Humans value aesthetics, to not care about your aesthetics makes you an evolutionary failure.
