Also op do you only do pushups so far? Just start deadlifting and squatting with low weight for high reps. Focus on form, make sure that shit is flawless, then go up 10 lbs next week.

I have a question. This really skelly kid signed up for a gym membership while I was working out the other day. He went over to the squat rack, loaded up 1pl8 and proceeded to do quarter reps.
Should I have helped him? I didn't want to be a dick on his first day.

I don't talk to other people (also im 6'0 145lbs, so I'm probably that kid) but you can bet your ass I'll go to the rack next to him and go sick to floor a few good reps with the same weight, just to give him the opportunity to figure it out/ask if he wants to. You can't help most people anyway unfortunately.
