Does protein powder actually work, or is it just a meme? If it isn't, how often should it be taken. Also, this protein powder I have always has giant chunks in it no matter how much I mix it.

Its a meme started by the jews

just get your protein from leaves in the forest that you gather yourself.

You're not gonna get huge just with protein powder. I use it sometimes for meal replacement when I'm lazy but it literally is nothing but a food product.

Rich Piana said that he got big by eating 4 scoops of Whey 8 times a day. I'm currently trying to work my way up there right now.

It's nothing special and no better than normal food. You'd be much better off learning to cook some decent meals before investing $ in silly supplements

It's cheaper than getting the same amount of protein from food in many parts of the world.

In Canada I would need to be spending like $20/day on food if I were eating only chicken breast and ground beef

Yes, of course. If you can find another way to (on average) get 200 grams of protein into a 2500 calorie diet, you're encouraged to do so, but it's an efficient way to meet macro targets. I myself couldn't find a way to do it without busting my ccalorie limit, so I have a two-scoop shake with creatine and frozen fruit after my training sessions.

Not sure if srs but...

They're basically a good way to get some macros in fast. I try to avoid drinking them because I would rather eat my calories not drink them.

But on days im in a rush and know I wont be able to eat my food ill have a scoop or two.

It's basically just food as far as your body is concerned. You should be able to calculate how much protein you need, and how much you are eating in regular food. Then just use protein powder to make up the difference.
