My guess is that if your spine has been fused, then it's stuck like that and you won't be able to straighten it out. On the other hand, you might be able to straighten out some parts of it. Your best bet might be to see a physical therapist.

How to fix posture?

Mine was a little bad, too much C in the middle of the back, and too much slouching at the top. I studied some stuff, and here is how I fixed it:

- Just generally focus on your posture, look in the mirror occasionally. Then correct the posture, then work to bring about this stance during the day.

- Stretch, or do Yoga. Or both. Focus on stretching upward, standing up tall, stretching the back, neck and arms. All in an effort to stand up straighter

- work out. Do every muscle group obviously, but focus on back stuff, leg stuff, and shoulder stuff that will strengthen the back and promote better posture

- Perform bad posture excercises occasionally. Someone posted a chiropractors video recently, he gives a few simple excercises you can do a few times a week that will help with posture.

If you do all the above, you can dramatically improve posture within a year.

Exactly the same as me. Skinny with scoliosis. I had my spine fused 19 years ago. Eat shit loads, do light stretches and slowly build your flexibility, focus on having good posture at all times and lift weights to help build some muscles. You'll always look a little out of shape but the more you build muscle and focus on posture the better looking you'll be in years to come.

Sit less. That's basically it. The whole "sit upright with good posture" thing isn't a bad advice on it's own, but it's nearly impossible to apply for long period of times especially for someone tall, skinny, with back problems.

No really the solution is to seat less. Lift your ass every half an hour and walk around.
