I use sequoia but I am like at 20% of the bottle now, also have wonderwood but that's very hit/miss; some love it, and others like my mom absolutely hate it. She told me not to stay in the same room as her if I have it on, then she went and got me some garbage macy's cologne that I tried once, and was told I made the lecture room smell funky (after only 1 spray)

A few years back I travelled and worked in Asia. One day I stepped in a mall to buy my usual cologne (Issey) and found a new one. Since than I've seen hundreds of these cologne threads and not once was it mentioned.

What I've come to notice is that pretty much all cologne smells good.
It's only bad if you overspray or wear in the wrong situation but overall just wearing any cologne improves your aura and presence and boosts confidence.
Personally I tend to use Invictus, Mont Blanc Individuel, Nautica Voyage, and Burberry Brit.

One spray on chest of Abercrombie Fierce (this is the best cologne I've found that works for me to combine with my natural scent, especially when on my chest and I sweat), and then spray Armani Code on cloth, then dab cloth on wrists/neck (otherwise it's way too much)
I recommend having an unscented deodorant as well. This combo works very well with mint breath as well.
With this combo I have gotten 100's of compliments over the years, many girls stopping me to ask what cologne I'm wearing.
I feel like if you're just going to class/the gym it's too much to be wearing cologne - but if you're going to work or something social by all means. Nothing wrong with looking your best - but imo it's "try-hard" going to class wearing cologne, especially if you haven't given it time since spraying.
If you are interested in getting colognes, you should first research online some highly rated colognes and compile a list - you want to smell as few as possible when you're out shopping/testing. If you smell more than like 8 colognes in a short period your sense of smell gets fucked up and anything you smell after that won't be the same compared to smelling it "fresh". So don't just go out and test 50 colognes at one time
Over time if you wear the same cologne people will identify that smell with you - I think it's good to mix it up, like having a summer/winter cologne or day/night, but having more than 4 colognes imo is excessive
