Work in a factory taking boxes off an assembly line then stacking them on a pallet for a buck over minimum wage.
This shit is ruining my joints (even if the boxes are relatively light, lifting 3000-5000 of them a day is just begging for an rsi,) but it's not too terrible. I like most of my coworkers (except for my turkroach manager,) there's basically no thought involved so I spend my day daydreaming while lifting light boxes, the machines break down all the time so we get frequent unscheduled breaks like the one I'm on now, and somehow despite being dyel as fuck I'm helping set production records and people think I'm strong.
Trying to get into plumbing after this.
Computer programmer. No joke. No excuse not to lift 3-4 days a week and still get 6 miles a day of walking (can't run...shattered my heel...) a day.

I was okay. I was in the special orders department which was basically if someone wanted special boxes or display items then we would put them together. It wasn't the actual warehouse. I think that might have been part of the problem because when you're in the same room with someone you've got to talk to them eventually.

Doing stretches for the relevant parts of your body when the line goes down.
NEVER skip a work out because you're tired. Working out that area seems to get rid of the sharp pain in that area and convert it to dull soreness. My back and shoulders are getting the worst of it, so the day I do OHP and deadlifts is my favorite day of the week.

At our company, the 2 apprentices are 22 and 27 years old. A lot of companies prefer older guys because they generally work harder and are more focused on the job compared to some 16 year old fuckwit straight out of year 10.
