>Take wife to fancy restaurant for her birthday
>They actually show the nutrition next to their dishes; never seen this before anywhere outside of a franchise
>Mfw the average dish was roughly 6000kj, and they were tiny ass "presentation" dishes that didn't even fill you up
Do upper class restaurants cook their food in butter and pig fat or something? Holy shit.
yes, most good food is cooked in tons of butter/fat/oil.
Pretty much
watch any Gordon Ramsey clip. His staples are Salt, Peppah and olive oil.

If you haven't been lifting for at least 10 years, then you shouldn't be allowed to even have an opinion.

For some pretentious sounding seafood dish, no idea what was in it, but every dish looked to be served on the same small ass plates, so I somehow doubt the calories were supplied via quantity.
The worst part is I ended up getting gnocchi because I'd only had 20g of carbs that day, and I forced myself not to look at the nutritional information until I was finished.
Ended up being 9000kj for what looked like 80g of gnocchi with some shitty cheese sauce. How the fuck can people eat that shit on even a weekly basis?

A cheeseburger and small fries from McDonalds is like 2000kj combined, with only sodium being the worst thing for you.
Say what you will about the nutrition in McDonalds, but so long as the rest of your diet is good, you can burn off a feed from there in 40 minutes.

>1 kj = 4.2 kcal
>6000kj ~ 1400kcal
that's not that bad honestly
Go to expensive restaurants late at night and you'll get bigger meals... In my experience at least

A hard cardio session should net you about ~700 calories per hour. That's 2 hours of hard cardio to burn off some shitty dish that took 5 minutes to eat and didn't even fill me up.
My golden rule is never eat any single thing that takes more than 20 minutes to burn off.
>Every time I finish my work out I always go home and eat an 800kj single serving of McCaines buttered potatoes
>Started developing this autistic habit now where I have to burn an extra 240cal while doing my cardio to offset the potatoes, with a slight variance in case they packed an extra potato or two
Calorie scumming is the worst habit I have, but I just can't help it.
