Compared to a lot of other sports, power lifting is on the simpler side.

The most difficult thing about power lifting would probably be the training and how to get the most out of it. The majority of the technique will have already been mastered for what is comfortable except for minor changes and there are only really 3 techniques to learn.

Sports like gymnastics have very complex a varied techniques. Taekwondo or any martial arts require a lot of skill and time to master fighting techniques as well as strategy. Team sports like rugby/basketball/football also are more complex sports due to technique/strategy but allow teamwork.

I would however say powerlifting is a more complex sport than say running & cycling sports

yes they do tbH. I usually put my wraps on around 60-70%. I don't get any noticeable discomfort then, and I don't think I'm causing long term damage.

I've tried going thumbs under + wider grip, but it hurts my previously injured shoulder pretty badly for some reason, I think because it changes the angle my shoulder rotates through or something.
