Is it not good to run too much when starting out?

I started running a mile a day 8 days ago with no rest days and I feel fine, I feel like if I took a rest day it would diminish my performance.

My goal is to run 3 miles with ease within a couple of months.

So, should I take a rest day each week to avoid injury? I have a muscle hernia in my shin but it is not painful. My calves ache so much after running that I cannot continue to run more than a mile. Is not resting affecting my performance negatively?

Best to build up to running daily, familam.

Start by resting every other day. Once you know you're solid, then you can move to 4 days a week, etc.

Also, increase your distance to get more out of your workouts.

Walk half a mile, run a mile, walk a quarter mile, run a half a mile. Build up from there - run a mile, walk a quarter mile, run a mile, etc.

Make haste slowly so as to not waste time with setbacks.

I'm just going to save you a bunch of time and say you aren't going to make it and should just go back to being a useless fuck, you'll be happier.

Everything you said sounds retarded as fuck, just stop.

Yeah I might try weight training every other day and running every other day until I know I can move on

I'm running (as much as I can, I can't run the whole way) 3.5 miles to the gym, then I kind of jog 3.5 miles back home. Is this too much to do before every workout?

God damn seems intense as fuck desu senpai, just listen to your body I guess but thats pretty extreme and seems like a sure way to mentally associate going to the gym with being a pain in the ass

You'll do a lot better resting and giving your muscles time to build up properly. Otherwise they won't as strong and all fucked up within a months time. Find other workouts bro like arms and swimming idk. Abs are very important so work them out after your run.

It's all about distance. Not time or speed.

Do couch 2 5k. Running 1 mile every day is useless. Finish C25K and then work on adding additional days per week at over 30 minutes per day.

Much more fun and enjoyable than 15 minutes of treadmill.

Funnily enough, when I run by Burger King it smells worse than the Sewage Treatment plant.
