so, I'm pretty skinny. for the past few months, I've been trying to better myself by exercising more, eating healthier, etc. (I'm seeing results.) however, I've noticed that there is a visible "indent" right below my ribs, and I'm just generally skinnier in these areas. can anybody tell me if I can fix this/add muscle to this area by doing certain exercises? or do I just have to build up fat? (pic not me obviously, but showing the area in question and where my bottom rib "drops off")
Not sure what are you trying to say but I'm guessin you are saying you have visible oblique lines/serratus? and want to fill 'em out ?
Do oblique work and heavy squats
those are obliques and you shouldnt try to make them bigger because they make your waist wider wich looks femine

>wide waist is feminine
opposite dumbass, thin waist is feminine, wide HIPS are feminine
>>37630867 yeah, kinda. just my entire oblique area seems "sunken in"

Something like this ? They'll fill up over time, just remember to do compounds, a lot of people mistake an underdeveloped core with wide hips

does anybody know any cues or tips on how to actually feel the squeeze on this? i never feel like anything is actually happening on these - i can feel the muscles firing on regular ab stuff but this side crunch shit doesn't do it for me

Do higher weight with hi reps. You should feel the burn. I use 25kg plates
