Protein powder is helpful for the fact it allows you to get in more protein without any effort of preparing/cooking a proper meal.
You'll be doing A LOT of cooking of meat, fish, poultry etc, if you don't eat protein powder at all.
The only supplement that is worth it's price is testosterone supplementation via injections
The rest is just broscience

i oly lift and find eating around 180g protein a day hard unless i add at least 1 scoop of whey a day... usually get around 130-150 from 5 meals otherwise

I stopped caring about diet 6 month ago. Started lifting heavier and eating whatever. Gains came fast and I feel great for not caring. I'm never going to compete so why should I waste money on other things than gym and food? 6'3 250lbs 17% bf I don't give any fucks.
