Have you ever played basketball? It uses your shoulders a lot. they know that their coaches know that so they focus on deltoid strength in training.just playing the game and practicing aspects of it works their shoulders.

But some muscles have more androgenic receptors than most other muscles. Pecs, delts, and traps mostly. It's the reason men have bigger upper body muscles generally.
