Heh, I grew up on the other coast of fl without air conditioning. Parents didn't want to be trapped in the house by the heat... If it's the same temp outside as inside then there is no reason to stay inside.
Now as an adult I have ac and enjoy it very much. Summer is definitely miserable but perfectly tolerable, just resign yourself to being a sweaty mess. Honestly south fl is not as bad as north, it's more breezy here or something.
If you can't tolerate the heat then maybe you're a fat, they seem to have real trouble outside in the summer around here...

Friend of mine has been in Jamaica for about a month. 35C every damn day.

Fatty here shooting for athletic mode. Nice here in ca. It's not too hot, suck it up and exercise. I just finished a 30 min run at 12:30 and felt fucking great. Took a cool shower napped afterwards. Woke up feeling like a fucking champ with a huge boner. Summer is best for getting slim. All you fatties take note and take advantage of the weather.
