Everytime I eat more, I just get fatter stomach, which is disgusting for me. I want to lift more. Any tips? I eat fast food maybe once per 2 weeks.

I always reach my protein goal pretty easily since I eat clean + whey etc. but eating too much makes me tired and hence takes away from being productive for the most part, and also have an irrational fear of getting too fat

Seems pretty proportional, but maxing on squats or OHP is not really that good of an idea imho. Trying to maintain form with max weight over you is like recipe for destruction

How? I squat on wooden platforms with bumper plates or in a rack with safety pins. If i can't squat it up safely in a 1rm attempt i can easily and safely dump bar. As for OHP, if I cannot press out a maximal attempt I just lower bar down and rack it. No offense, but do you even lift?

Yes I even lift, and still it doesn't work quite that way with maximal effort. My muscles have literally fatigued and failed under maximal loads before, meaning no bailing just dropping under dead weight. You can see this a lot in WL when a lifter manages to clean the weight but then faints before the jerk.

Beyond that squat and OHP is probably hardest to maintain form under max loads, and definitely the hardest lifts to spot effectively. Even with safety pins seems like a pretty decent way to fuck yourself up either by sacrificing form to get the weight up or straight up bailing incorrectly and or fainting

Disregarding all that, my body doesn't really respond at all to 1rm squat or OHP so either way they seem pointless to me. I keep it at like 85-90% for 3x5

Currently my squat is 3pl8 , probably close to 85% of a true max. My OHP is 1pl8, lagging a bit. Both 3x5. My bw is 165.

Heaviest I've ever worked with is 365 squat and 155 OHP, again for 3x5.
