Genetics only matter if you're striving for the best of the best position. Like if you want to be the fattest fat piece of shit like no one ever was, genetics will factor in a lot. Likewise if you want to be the best bodybuilder ever.
Genetics are irrelevant if looking to achieve smaller goals, like being stronger than the average person or simply not being fat. The first one will require a small amount of consistent exercise, the second will demand you eat less. The most Genetics can do here is make it slightly easier or slightly harder, which still amounts to very little. The only reason someone becomes fat is because they overeat. You NEVER get fat without overeating.
