I'm down to 166lbs from 187lbs, more strength than ever.
Current goal is to be lean for summer so I'll have to drop some more weight without losing too much strength.
Cut is a pain with finals around the corner.

pretty much the same as OP

>no junk food
>no snacks out of boredom
>cut away sweets
>3x/week gym

my first picture I post. I finally feel comfortable in clothes again. great feeling.
I started with 127kg and now I'm down to 103kg. 7kg to go and then I start slow bulk.
I'm still too autistic to post a front pic because my lovehandles are still pretty... outstanding.
>>
>stop being a tard

Just 50 or so left to go. It's a bit frustrating with how much slower it is now, but I'll get there eventually.
Feels good to do the things I enjoy without the anxiety I used to get going out into public.

keep it up bro, doing good
don't quit, never quit
your weight loss may slow down a bit, even stall at some point, but it will always get better if you keep giving it all you have
trust in yourself as I do, and believe me I trust in you so god damn much

Nothing crazy for me but I started at 177 lbs May 5th and already down to 168 as of earlier today.

I'm aiming for about 150 and then I'm gonna start putting on muscle, probably aim for getting back to 170 I guess?

this only took 11 days. Starting being quite meticulous about my calorie/macro tracking. Down 7 pounds
>>
Started around January, only got really serious in the last few weeks. Started at 283, 5'11, now around 263. Haven't been tracking macros or calories as well as I have been lately. Got stricter, started working out more. Goal is 180, which seems like ages away but god dammit I'll make it.
>>
>Ran 2 miles today
>first time exercising in months
Gotta start somewhere... the only thing thats getting me is eating healthy..

How the FUCK do i eat healthily for every meal on minimum without blowing my entire paycheck on food
>>
>tfw have to lose like 40kgs
>>
>>37536941

nuts, rice, beans, vegetables, meat
>>
>>37533665

Started at 430 pounds, dropped down to 345 and became complacent. I'd lose 20 pounds over a few months, then gain back 10, lose 10, gain 20, constantly retracing my footsteps.

In January I fell head over heels for some girl, and for the first time felt that fire. Since then I've worked my way down to 237 pounds - nearly 110 pounds in 5 months.

She found someone, and though I'm going through some hellish emotions I haven't resorted to eating my feelings. I even tried the day I found out but after all was said and done I was only 400 calories over my TDEE. That's a small win, it lets me know that I finally managed to drop the emotional eating habit that took me all the way to 430.

I'm going to give this another 4 weeks - I may be able to hit 220 at 6'3" with a lean body mass of somewhere around 185. I know that's still 20+% bodyfat but I feel it's a good place to start eating at maintenance and really building some muscle - the loose skin is horrific, really.

Tired of being completely stalled out on the weights. Maybe some PR's will help heal this broken heart.
>>
>>37536941
you don't need to eat "healthy" just eat less.
Just don't go fucktarded and eat shit.
>>
>always fluctuated between obese and skinny
>workout, eat right, just a lot
>finally decide it's time to commit to health and wellness
>track calories, make 1'200 calorie daily meal plans, cut out bad shit, exercise regularly, stay hydrated
>things are going great, lose 40lbs since December
>plateau for months, can't break below 175
>pull all stops, binge days, extended rest days, workout increases, extreme cuts
>nothing works
>hear about hcg, decide to try it
>it arrived on a binge day
>try it and can't even pig out after taking the drops, just not hungry
>read it was a scam next day
>fucking fuck
>decide to keep trying it for a week anyway but not follow the protocol, just continue with my personal routine because the did have some kind of effect
>next day scale says I'm down a pound
>next day I lost another pound
>and the next day
> even my bowel movements have improved

At the end of the day my calorie differential is only around 1'000 calories. The numbers don't add up but fuck it, I'm losing almost a pound a day and I didn't change a fucking thing.

Can anyone explain this shit?

Going shit.

I took these progress photos, they were supposed to be my 'half-way through' photos. Somehow i got caught up in all the 'good job' 'look how far you've come' and somehow convinced myself subconsciously that i was done losing weight, i have been eating outside of my diet even though I still have 15kg more to lose before im done. Now im finding it hard to find the same motivation i had 2 months ago for losing weight and i feel like im stagnating
>>
>>37537455
>I'm losing almost a pound a day

>>
>>37537485

>>
>>37537597
do cardio and low cals.
Will get you down in 1/3 the time. Then lift around 190-200
>>
>>37537525
I'm not sure how. I'm hitting my macros eating between 1'200 and 1'500 calories a day and just burning 400-500 calories through focused exercise. It can't be water weight because I drink a lot throughout the day. They said this was typical of hcg but I definitely didn't believe it would be so immediate and I'm not even following their b.s. rules
>>
>>37537485
Dude, fuck yeah. Way to go. Try to remember your motivation in the first place. Keep it up and you're going to be looking -good- come Autumn, when hunnies be looking for love
>>
>>37537627
Thanks senpai. We're all gonna make it
>>
>>37537635
I don't know anything about hcg but a pound a day is not fucking healthy. Slow down. Eat more calories. The only time you should be losing more than like 2 lbs a WEEK is if you're morbidly obese.
>>
>>37536990
Keep it up!!! I struggled with emotional eating too. You got this. Youre doing incredible work
>>
>>37537711
I'll see what the scale says tomorrow, I increased to 1'500cal today. Might increase another 200 and take a rest day tomorrow too. But aside from focused workouts my lifestyle it's very sedentary, with bmr around 2000cal. Eating 1500 a day with a bmr of 2000 and burning only 400 leaves a deficit of 900 which is a steep cut but doesn't equal a pound a day and doesn't seem particularly dangerous
>>
>>37536760
How? I started in early December. I'm not an inch skinnier but I'm stronger.
I don't want this, I'm sure I'm doing something awfully wrong.
No soda, no sweets, I'm counting calories when and if I can but I mostly eat home-made food. I'm almost sure it's that, that I can't anticipate well how much I eat. I'm trying to eat as much as my twin sis who is skinny.
Fuck, can't wrap my head around dieting.

What's wrong with weighing every day? Even before this I weighed every day. 172.4 today. Was 176 something when I started at the end of last week. Shit is unreal. Just hope I continue to see steady losses for at least a week. Increasing calories to 1500-1700 today

It takes time to lose weight, esp., if bf is over 18. Took me over 4+ yrs to modify diet and increase physical activity.
Started 199lbs. - now 146lbs. However, bf has gone from 23 to 10.5.
Had triple chins and was stopped at airport security and told that my old pict. did not look like myself.
If older than 55 - chin wattles and love handles, are last to go.

I'm lean enough and I've hit my fat loss goal so I just finished my keto diet yesterday and now I've switched to a diet that's mostly for cutting water now for comp. It only consists of water, yams and tilapia for only a week. At the end of the week I should look like a true zombie.
>>

I've lost most of my weight to goal. At first it was so easy, would lose 2-3 pounds a week easy. Now I'm 20 lbs or so from goal but now it's completely changed. If I so much as think about going off diet it's no progress. I haven't gone completely off rails and gained weight back, but I can't lose weight unless I'm 100% on diet all the time and even so it's still slow progress. But I just saw my love handles start to get smaller, and my stomach is getting flatter by the week...so fucking close.

I hope so. I have been getting stronger at least which is why I stopped. I had enough of lifting the same weight every week.

Plenty of men and women are attracted to this body type, and everyone at the gym will love you.
Is it really more gross than the latter which is basically flying squirrel mode?

I've lost weight before unintentionally because of my job. Having to do it manually is awful and I'm not good at it!

Will 1800 calories per day with a TDEE of 3000 fuck my metabolism over?

why does it matter if someone likes you for bear mode? I agree though, all that excess skin would look nasty. That being said, some people have or were at morbidly obese sizes leaving skin that is beyond fixing by filling out with muscle.

calculators are just calculators. Start
at eating 1800kcal which can be a lot of food if you eat right stuff and start lifting
you can do compounds, but for me brosplit worked and I gained around 8-10kg of lean body mass while my weight reduced 54kg. I'm not very strong but I have enough muscle to be noticeable bigger than my coworkers. The bonus is that you can eat more and keep loosing the same amount of weight as the time goes.

So eat 1800kcal, work out and measure your weight. if you loose 4kg/month you're good and have 1000kcal deficit per day. I would not go over it, but you can try. Also, remember pic related.
>>
How do people get so fat? I always thought I ate like complete shit literally ordering $40 worth of kfc for myself twice a week for 2 YEARS and killing Taco Bell until I was about 17 and smartened up. But even then I could never come close to the level i see some of you at. Is it parents?

Thank you for a good response.

The weight loss contest is in % of body weight lost so I'm probably fucked and going to lose anyway since I am the fattest guy entered, but I don't care, I really need to do something. The answers are all right there in the sticky but there's something wrong with me.

Thanks for the pic. I'll try not to get impatient or discouraged. Losing weight slowly is still better than not losing it.

>>37548907
Because it's hard for me to even lose weight to begin with. Yes I know the sticky.
>>
>>37533665
Hey man, just remember that it will take a while to actually completely physically see the changes while your fat cells have been turning into water filled dying fat cells, once they figure out you're not going to feed them shit they'll die off and you'll see a somewhat dramatic change.
Keep going brother, keep going and one day we'll all make it!.
>>
>>37549400
well, only in a way that they never taught me portion control. the food itself was always home cooked from scratch and pretty damn good, so they taught me to love food too. Getting fat was all me though, buing junk food with my allowance and then money I earned.

What's something a NEET can do to lose fat in their garage? I've lost about 30 pounds through eating better and cycling daily but I want to lose my fat first then start on muscle (confidence thing).

I'm pretty poor but am saving money for proper weights, I've been going hobo mode and curling 2 cinderblocks on a steel bar, squatting while holding that bar curled in front of me (don't have a squat rack and don't want to break my spine and die figured it was the next best thing) and farmers walks with that bar and cinderblocks.

I do 3x8 of everything above three times a week and pace the garage back and forth 10 times for farmers walks (about 15 feet), PLEASE give me a better routine if I need done I don't know shit despite lurking, cycle daily and eat better but I want this fat gone as best I can.

Should I just focus on cardio if I want fat loss? Is working with the cinderblocks really effective or am I wasting time? Please help /fit/ I'm just a NEET trying to make it

I can stick to my diet no problem, i can eat 1200 cals a day of chicken and veggies, but the moment i run out of healthy food is when i go-mad.

Realized there was no chicken left and just said fuck it and ordered a pizza and some Twinkies.

I'm weak
>>
>>37549753

The trick to weight loss is managing diet while providing just enough physical stimulus to promote muscle growth over fat storage.

When insulin is spiked, your body is primed to store energy. Otherwise, you're using previously stored energy to power yourself. Depending on your goals you want to maximize/minimize the amount of time this switch is flipped on or off.

>focus on counting calories and keeping a strict, modest deficit first and foremost (700 calories below TDEE)
>if you can stand cycling on a fasted stomach you will burn an appreciable amount of fat
>limit cardio by either time or intensity - you can ride low and slow for an hour, or at a modest pace for 20 minutes
>limiting eating to an 8 hour window
>light exercise (in your case a set of farmer's walks) immediately before eating
>drink a lot of water
>sleep good

Boom. Good luck.

99kg, 7-point caliper test says 16%bf, electronic scale says 17.5% body fat. I have a lot of loose skin everywhere, I think the excess skin itself would weigh 5-6kg.

I'm not saying that I'm bigger than people who roid. I'm just saying that it's possible to be big after loosing fat, without being skinnyfat.
>>37551577
I'm not delusional, I know my body very well and I don't like it. The amount of training I did since I started loosing weight does not explain the size of my muscles. Being fat and active must have done that, if you have other explanation then let me know, I'm interested myself.

On a more general note, I don't really get why some people here get so jelaous when someone succeeds through strong will and hard work, and enjoys it.
Even if I'm looking at my body in a positive way and see through the remaining fat and loose skin, I'm not in denial about it. I was in denial for most of my life and I'm aware of it. But now I'm proud of progress I made, and happy about it.

Are you just a bunch of bitter jerks that have no progress themselves? Or is it just your low self-esteem? Daddy never showed any approval? Remember, if you live to impress others you'll never be happy.
