Yep, bars at my old uni gym never gave me a problem. At my new gym, they drew blood on warmup. I just keep a pair of sweats in my gym bag for DLs like I keep a pair of Oly shoes for squats.

I started scraping my shins when my DL passed 4 plates, probably then I realised that my most natural pull is when I drag the bar along my shins. My max now is 240kg and sometimes dl can literaly leave me bleeding, high socks don't help much so I preffer wearing sweatpants on dl days. Its probably the issue of heightand and proportions because not all good pullelrs in my gym have this problem, I'm 186cm tall and have long legs.
