I hate barbell rows with all my heart.
What can I do instead? Preferably with free weights.
Why do so many people hate those?
I fucking love them and they're my strongest lift.
Dumbbell rows or power cleans
Do dumbbell rows and face pulls
Do so many face pulls. Even if you don't change anything else, add face pulls.

Not sure what they're called, but i started doing barbell rows while laying on a raised bench. I can barbell row heavier without stress on my back. Plus the pump is better for me
