/fit/ fashion

Not gonna post in /fa/ cause they're too spooky.

How do vests look like if you're /fit/? Does it ruin your V taper? or turn you into a box
>>
>>37404442
i have one that makes me look like a box but I bet if I got one smaller it would look better
>>
>>37404455
pic from behind?

pants optional, only need to see the vest
>>
>>37404442
Vests NEVER fit well, and will fuck up you taper.
Just give it up, and find something in a lighter material but with sleeves.

You need to be a big guy to pull that off.
>>
>>37404498
Just about any classic thin to medium thick jacket works, from a moto jack to a fucking sports coat.
The important parts are the collar, to frame the face, and the drop, to showcase the shoulders.
You won't show your pythons, that just can't be done, but the waist drop is more important anyway.
What is your style, usually? And how warm are we talking about, anyway? There's just so much variety, as long as you keep it boring you'll find something that shows your body the best.
>>
Vests are practical garments for working outside or hunting. They keep your core warm while granting free use of the arms. It's not a fucking fashion show innawoods.
>>
>>37404442
Vests are comfy as hell but they won't show your gains
>>
>>37404645
casual, normie tier style to wear at uni etc.

Warm for like 5C, with t shirt and a thin jumper underneath

sports coat would be too formal
>>
>>37404442
can anyone redpill me on wearing collars over tees as a decently muscular guy (packed on a couple pounds from my bulk, cutting right now). What types of collared shirts are best for /fit/ casual wear.
>>
>>37404670
Single breast jacket, turnover (think dress shirt) collar. In leather (maybe if you're into thrifting), waxed canvas (you can probably find something at a milsurpl), or wool-cotton cardigan (that would be the easiest one to find).
You just have to find something that fits right, or can be altered a bit.
>>
>>37404726
>waxed canvas jacket
not a bad idea hadn't considered it

>wool-cotton cardigan
I feel like this wouldnt block the wind, even thick ones. too porous

fashion for /fit/ men is a subject that never gets talked about but needs to be.

I see built men walking around in light blue shorts and a under-armour compression shirt.
that sounds ok for the gym, but no. this was in a restaurant.

The /fa/ sticky will tell you everything you need to know about colors.

for jackets you should look at some collard bomber jackets, make your shoulders and traps look large, not to square and goes with almost anything.

If you are dressing for a formal event and you are a big guy (for you), do NOT wear a full suit, always go for a shirt and waistcoat, that way you won't look like pic.

With plain t-shirts, always go for tapered, it might cost a couple £ more but its worth it as normal fit becomes baggy at the bottom and ruins the look.

Also don't go full pianoman. edgy snapback, wifebeater, baggy 3quartr length shorts and basketball shoes.
it just makes you look like a manlet.
>>
>>37404887
dont bomber jackets kind of balloon out at the gut?

Im not even talking about buying specific items online.

Like its hard to find /fit/ guys wearing say peacoats. I want to see how particular clothing styles look on people who lift. Before I go research what stores have sell them and go out and try them.

maybe /fit/ can make a wiki on how clothes look on lifters

You know, the bigger part of dressing decent IS actually height-face-frame.
Pants are all about making you look taller.
Shirts all about emphasizing the face.
Jackets all about giving you more shoulder and less paunch (frame).

And some go against that, breaking or reversing completely the rules, but that's the basics.
>>
>>37405431
how to choose pants that make you look taller?

how to avoid pants that make you shorter?
>>
>>37404671
You mean like a polo shirt? Nothing wrong with that as long as it's not extremely tight. A well-fitting polo usually makes your arms look good too.
>>
>>37404442
What brand are those? I like them
>>
>>37405467
not sure its from aliexpress
>>
>>37405442
High rise (but not clownishly so) pants, with a minimal break, no cuffs, flat front, well fitting and not diaper-like.
Basic, boring, makes the leg look as long as it's possible.
Be careful, if you go too high you'll look stupid, or too leggy and spindly.
>>
>>37405480
shti I dont know if this will work

I have a short torso compared to legs even though Im a manlet
>>
>>37405507
then keep it natural.
men supposedly look best with the waist at half height, but I'd go slightly higher, low rise pants focus too much on your behind and break frame.
try some low and high rise pants, and see for yourself, ON yourself.
>>
>>37405286
>6-7 colors for the top
>short-shorts
The middle one is kinda cute.
Full homo.
>>
So I had a look and it seems like my best bet is to get either a thick jumper/Cardigan. Cardigans look pretty gay though.

Or get a bomber jacket or waxed cotten jacket (pseudo military looking)

kind of depends on how you have it hanging on you, if you zip up the botom to just above the bellybutton it will give a v impression, put together with a light gray shirt will make the v stand out more.

If you are a skelly and want to look bigger you can have it unzipped and the collar closer together than the waist (pic related), but few people can pull it off without looking skinny-fat.

>>37405124
best thing i can tell you is to have a friend go with you, make sure you get something that fits well (including leg, baggy pants look awful), and make sure the colors are earthy tones (black, gray, dark brown) with a nice coloured tie to make it pop.

Also you have 2 main tipes of mens bomber jackets, thin and poofy.

the thin one is better for big guys, the thick one is better for skellys and lanklets. but again its all down to how you look.

Problem here: ill-fitting suits. In this case specifically: Both are wearing jackets that are too long on the sleeves and at the bottom. Both are wearing pants that are way too loose and wide. They look like children because they did not buy well fitting clothing.
Also: too many buttons. Two buttons. Three if you want to try something else. Five ist too much.
If you don't know how a suit is supposed to fit when shopping for one, take your mom along. You might feel retarded while shopping but at least you won't look retarded when wearing the suit.

As a big guy (4u) I only have one solution when I need to look formal or semi-formal: a black linen shirt. It goes well with jeans as well as it does with dungarees or dress pants. Obviously, it only works if your skin is not the color of shit.
