As much as I hate vegans, this is a stupid argument.
Just because a great variety of things CAN heighten our risk for certain cancers, doesn't mean you should take such a defeatist stance on it. Some substances are far more dangerous than others and you should treat them as such.

How strong is the correlation between meat and cancer? Does it matter what kind of meat? For each kind that matters, is it as bad as smoking cigarettes or is it more like celery?
Meat eating in the highest degree increases cancer of one type by 20%. So if a meat eater gets butt cancer there is a 5/6 chance that meat eating didn't matter. Just remember that.

No, you just don't have a clue.
Cancer is a byproduct of getting older, or just losing the genetic lottery.
As we grow older, our DNA gets damaged by a billion of factors, which causes the our cells to replicate with errors in them. The type of cancer is dependent of which kind of damage and which kind of cells got damaged.
Our immune system also plays a role, because our body naturally removes the bad cells, but sometimes it doesn't really happen.
Until we find a way to replicate cells 100% correct, cancer will keep existing
Meat does not cause cancer. The chemicals used by the food industry uses to process meat can cause cancer. What the farmer feeds to the animal, like growth hormones for example, can cause cancer later when eating that animal's meat. Pesticides used on plants to kill insects, cause cancer.
That said, the suggestions to avoid meat and instead eat "non-meat alternatives" that are made purely out of chemicals and nuclear waste describe the intelligence (or corruption?) of our society's leaders and organizations.
