The gorilla will maul and break the Tiger's bones if it's an open field where it can see the tiger coming to defend itself. i would say ability to use tools + effective communication are the most important things. I mean many animals are intelligent and can use tools. Some even outperform us mentally on some tasks. But they don't really communicate their findings that effectively (whales and dolphins teach their younglings stuff tough) and no ape capable of sign language, altough they were impressively intelligent, ever asked a "why" question.

pretty sure australian saltwater crocs have the most powerful bite force in the animal kingdom (quick google says 3,700lbs per square inch or 16,460 N), so toxins aren't needed at all
I get the feeling you haven't heard a lot about crocodiles. Here in Australia, someone got taken by a crocodile only yesterday, even though they were probably engaging in risky behaviour
Although you could probably minimise risks, if you get in trouble with a saltwater crocodile, I'm pretty sure you're fairly fucked
