My hubby has been teaching me to bench and he says NEVER to touch my chest. Going down all the way with the barbell just makes it harder so it seems kinda pointless for simple toning which is what I'm aiming for!

if the dumbbells are heavy enough, dumbbell deadlifts, snatches, clean and presses, goblet squats, jerks, rows and swings are more than enough.
all these lifts have 1 arm and 2 arm variations too
