Well, sending letters to judges make no difference now. He got convicted for the bruise on the arm (didn't get in jail because it was his first felony)(even if it wasn't his felony, right) and had to pay 10k in damages to my sis + a fine (I guess that they converted the days of prison in a monetary equivalent) but also had granted the right to see no mention of this "crime" in his criminal record.
When the second trial began, it was way more rough. My sis did close the bank account they had in common and he was forced to go living with his parents.
When rumours were had that he was allegedly a paedophile he lost his job. My sis managed (through lawyer's letters and shit, I don't understand all that stuff) to force him to sell some of the stuff he had (furniture, car) in order for him to pay... alimony (for her and for the daughter).
I don't know where he lives now, and I know that his parents moved too.
I was thinking about buying some ad space in the local newspaper and publish something.
I saw his parents once during the trial and once they were at my nephew's primary school for some family occasion, never saw them again
My nephew now uses her mother's surname and is doing very well, but to be honest she has some issues relating with boys.
