Is a 2pl8 squat notable to the average normie gym goer?
>implying normies even care about squatting
Here "100kg" is used as a hyperbole to mean "a shitton of weight".
So yes, being able to claim you can literally lift that is pretty impressive.

not using it as an excuse, i just mean that my legs are my weakness. Upperbody is coming along nicely though

No. I go to a bigbox 24 hour gym and every man I see squatting is at least at 225lbs.

You can impress plebs with it, but even skellys squat more in my gym.

Only if it's for high reps (8+).
Every single person in my gym who doesn't look like a hipster student can squat 2pl8 for sets of 5-6 reps.
And those that can't are skinny guys, who either look like wizards or are skinny runnerfags with families, who just squat 80kg for high rep sets, because health.

are u russian?
I've been lifting for a few months and I squat 90kg, had never been in a gym before now
I refuse to believe 100kg is considered impressive
I squat 2pl8 and I look dyel af desu
3pl8 for 5 reps is the universal "bare minimum" squat to be considered impressive.

to the AVERAGE gym goer? Yeah I would definitely say it is.
Most people at my gym don't even squat. There are tons of huge guys at my gym that stick to machines. Whenever I see someone squat at my gym it is never that heavy.
Obviously around here 2pl8 isn't that impressive. There is a difference between your average gym goer and the average poster here.
>tfw just started SS and only squat 70kg
>gotta train at least 2 more weeks till I can hit 2pl8 and slowly go up to 3pl8
Fugg I wish body could adapt faster
