My BMR is around 1800, I burn around 600 when I workout, that's 2400 TDEE. In order to cut ~0.5 kg / week, I should eat 1900, not 1300.

Well, for one thing, I doubt your TDEE is 3000 even with activity.

You've already mentioned that you crash at 11. Carbs are not a great energy source (also why no-carb or low-carb diets such as psmf and keto lose weight extremely fast). A better choice would be foods rich in healthy fat and protein.

Way too many carbs and too many calories. A good ratio to eat at would be a lower-carb diet (IE: Max daily carb intake of 150g, and even that's kind of pushing it). I've found lower carb intake is way, way way easier to lose weight with.

I use to do a steady state only, but now I do both. In doing HIIT I've discovered that my breathing was improved when I do my steady state cardio.

As for calories burn it's the same during the work out. Just do what you enjoy more. I like both, so I do both. HIIT 2xwk and steady state 2-3xwk

It's worked for me and several others. Like IF, it's just something else to try.

There's something to do with carbs being quickly used as energy or stored as fat, whilst protein is slowly absorbed as fuel for the muscles, but I'm not gonna pretend to be doing anything outside of regurgitating facts from youtube videos.

I'm a manlet and have been cutting on 2500 calories and I've lost 16lbs (190 > 174). Lifting 4 days a week and 30minutes of cardio everyday. I'm staying at 2500 until the fatloss stops, then I'll only drop it down to 2400 and increase cardio to 40minutes a day and that's usually enough to get me shredded at 160 or so.

This is what I do

Find a football (soccer) pitch and run laps

3 laps : Sprint the short side, slow jog the long side
2 laps : Spring the long side, slow jog the short
1 lap : Sprint 1 short and 1 long side, slow jog to the end

Don't go easy; you have to really fucking kill yourself on each sprint, and learn to recover while still moving

The goal is to do it like a pyramid

3 (sprinting short)
2 (sprinting long)
1 (sprinting half the pitch)
2 (long)
3 (short)

Ideally do a pyramid as a whole without resting, but it'll take a while to build up to that. Have rests between each level if you need it - it's more important to keep the intensity up while you're sprinting

Dunno if this is proper HIIT, I just made it up, but I play football at a pretty high level and it improved my performance a lot and got that bf% down more in half an hour than my multiple 1hr plus runs were doing

I was in the gym for about 5 hours the other day due to not having access to my normal gym, instead got a day pass and did a full body workout. The gap between the calories I burned compared to the amount took in was pretty huge, not sure if I should have are more for that day but it but it made about 3 days progress in one day

This is fucking wrong and im tired of seeing it. To burn FAT you need to do nothing/ slow cardio. If you do HIIT you strait up burn glucose/glycogen. Your body wants to burn fat because it is a more saturated with H atoms, but it takes more time. Your body needs instant ATP when doing high intensity. Dont eat carbs early and dont do ANYThing is how you accually burn fat. Please explain to me how you lose fat through HIIT?

Can I use carbs if I'm already lean? TDEE is 1400 and my diet:

>200g beets
>300g rice and beans
>200g sweet potatos
>free coffee and tea

Should I use a little of peanut butter to get more fat and reduce carbs? I find it so easy using a lot of vegetables since they fill up very well. I don't get the same from fats.

Honesty, if you're fat and track what you're eating it's pretty easy. I do food prep weekly, and was 284 at the beginning and am roughly 248 about 4 months later. You can do it man! Just have to want it bad enough. Hell, i barely even do cardio. I lift 3 days, rest, repeat.

How the fuck do I cut while injured? Just keep protein really high and hope for the best? Getting a menisectomy done and currently have some elbow tendinitis going on. My surgeon says I can work out 100% after 6weeks..Should I just bite the bullet and go to some maintenance calories so I heal proper.

Part of the trouble is that there is NOTHING to do in my current area except stay home and eat all day. Hopefully after I move the area will be exciting and I'll be out of the house. I never have an appetite when I'm out of the house, and I'm also kind of aspie and don't like eating out because I don't know what they put in the food or where to get it or how to order or what they would have. If I am studying at a cafe for example, I google the menu on my phone and cross reference all the calories before I decide to order. I don't want to go up to the counter and look at the in store menu because the guy will just stare impatiently and it's uncomfortable. So thanks to autism I almost never order food out.

At 1400 calories a day you're entering Protein Sparring Fast territory. You're going to need at least .7 grams per pound of lean body mass or you will start slowly losing muscle. In your case, that's probably somewhere around 110 grams of protein daily.

Getting that protein on a vegan diet while keeping calories below 1400 is going to be rough. You'll need to use a blend of rice/soy/pea protein powder.

If you're going to go vegan, use a more reasonable deficit - somewhere around 1,800 calories.

If you can handle being an ovolactarian then cottage cheese/whey/egg whites can easily get you your protein.

Thanks for the advice. I could up my deficit some since it's a fairly high deficit right now. I am vegetarian right now and getting protein has never been a problem but I can see how cutting dairy/eggs out of my diet will make protein harder. I do enjoy some vegan meats that are high in protein so I think I'll be okay but I do see your point.

The trigger for me was laying in bed one night and just looking down at my disgusting obese body and thinking of how shit a person I am. Like felt all over myself, got up, walked to mirror, felt like crying. I thought "Tomorrow" and then corrected myself and said now.

Dont listen to this summer fags you are doing well. Calories are calories eventhough im cutting with keto and eat low carb it doesnt mean they are evil. A low carb diet will help you lose more fat than anything else and keep your muscles but it doesnt mean thats the key to lose weight you lose weight in a deficit period.
