Hi /fit/,

My high school has a gym that opens in the very early morning (6.50-7.50am). It also opens at lunch break(1.40-2.10pm).

Anyway, I've been going for a few weeks now. I eat a breakfast of oats, cereal, egg, tea, water and some spreads. Then I go to the gym and do my thing.

I do not eat anything except water until i get home, about 8-9 hours after my workout. Is this ok? Optimal? What is your experience with workout and then fasting? Or am i doing this all wrong?

Im poor so i cant buy meals every morning and i cant cook meals every morning either due to time constraints. i mean its possible if i tried, but my question is about fasting. is it a bad idea all together?

My second question is if its ok to work out AGAIN at lunchbreak? I get bored and im pretty addicted to working out desu even though im beginner status. If so, is it ok if i do a different routine? or the same one again? all this without eating until i got home? or what about if i did eat in between?

have a motivational picture as payment in advance.

don't eat breakfast

take BCAAs before lifting and every two hours after lifting until you eat

Working out twice a day is probably too much for a beginner. As for not eating after you train it's not a big deal but you will never put on quality mass and will probably always be a "hard gainer" unless you eat a massive dinner everyday.

How do I go if I wanna fast 7-10 days?
How do I ease in and out? Should I do any exercise during this period?
How do I lose minimum muscke?

opinion is split on whether fasted exercise is a good thing or a bad thing. people either massively lean one way or the other.

it's definitely doable. in fact, it's part of higher level training in the military etc.

is it optimal for performance and gains/ again, difficult to say.truth is, if you do it regularly you'll get used to it, and wonder how you coudl possibly train on a full stomach.

I know the feel, senpai.
But for a beginner you'll probably wear yourself out really quickly.

Besides, if you're unable to eat for a long period of time after working out I'd say definitely don't do it twice a day. You should have a solid caloric surplus if you do.

I workout twice a day twice a week and on almost all the other days (martial arts+weightlifting), and there's no way in hell I'd manage to do it if I didn't eat all the time.

"Workout" is a noun, not a verb

You're welcome!
