like 95% of the calories in that pic are from the eggs, beans, and rice, and that amounts to like 5 bucks of food. So you really can get a lot of food as long as you don't spend most of your money on limes.

Way too many limes. Where I'm from, Kansas, limes cost 2 for a dollar. I am seeing 7 limes in that picture. That is $3.50 of limes.
>>
>>37255706

I live in a pretty shitty part of a poor city. The closest place to get groceries is a Dollar General. Every single fucking time I go there, almost every customer is using their EBT card.

And you know what? Every single fucking one of them has too many kids. If you are poor and on food stamps, ONE kid is too many. Three, four, five (the norm) is way too fucking many.

My wife is a social worker who deals with all these poors for a living and the one thing they all have in common is they cannot for some god damn reason stop having kids or family plan correctly.

It drives me fucking nuts. Every time I go into that god damn Dollar General, there is some 20-something woman with 3-5 kids so it's no wonder they buy nothing but cheap processed foods which is why they're all morbidly obese.

Some people realize that the government pays them more welfare if they have more children, and then legitimately think to themselves:

>Huh. I should make more spawn.

And have more kids because somehow they don't realize that more kids are now expensive than the extra money they get from the government.

One of my friends was told by their mother that extra government money is the only reason they exist. Despicable people who don't realize what they're doing. All white family with a single mother and 9 kids, so the mother could make more money. Some people are just bad people.

1 Gallon of milk 3.29
12 eggs 1.49
2lb whole chicken, 2.78
20 lbs rice 8.19
Pinto beans 5 lbs, 4.95
Split peas, 4 lbs 5.16
Garlic, 2 heads, .50
7 Onions, .56
2 lbs Collard greens, 2.98
29.90

Paltrow is a lying Liberal Progressive - That food is about $12.00 at any grovery store - and SNAP benefits are NOT $29.00 per week.

Welfare recipients get anywhere from $309 - $4500 / month is cash and rental assistance and from $125 and up depending on the number of children in the household in food stamps or SNAP benefits.

Again, Paltrow is a liar and a fraud. I work for the Government and know exactly what were paying these people. And the Welfail system is ripe for fraud and should be done away with - it allows lazy bums to live of the money YOU provide by getting up and going to work in the morning.

I've worked as a cashier in grocery stores. Poor people are stupid as shit, hence why they're poor. I only spend 20 to 30 a week to bulk, yet I still eat like a king.

>tfw 2 slices of bacon, toast with some light butter, oatmeal with bananas, cinnamon, strawberries, and honey, and a glass of juice or coffee every morning for breakfast

Store brand is amazingly cheap. .50 an avocado, .48 cents/lb of bananas, .99 cent eggs on sale, less than $3 for 2 weeks worth of oatmeal, $8 for fresh chicken breast for the week.

the box is like the size of a drink cooler but square. it does have the original box which says toilet paper on it. I just watch slickdeals and buy some if I am running low. I don't care if it sits in front of the door all day. just a bunch of people walking dogs in the neighborhood or old people strolling. I lived in fl for ten years before leaving for md. There's no state tax in Florida. my mom had a house in central fl making a lot less than 50k. I had a friend renting a 2br apt for like 800ish in Orlando. she was making 50k and her apt wasn't in the ghetto either. so idk what's wrong with ur numbers m8

Did you? Do you really need it spelled out for you? It's an income supplement used solely for nutritional purposes so the income can be used for other necessities. Its intent is that you use it to buy the all the reasonable food you need since you don't have much, if any, money to spare after covering necessities. If the intent was for the people using it to use their own income to cover it, then the government would provide waivers to reduce the cost, thus saving more of the person's income.

It's an income supplement so you don't have to spend your limited income on food. Why is that so difficult to understand? The entire point is that SNAP absorbs the cost of buying food so one's income is not spent on it. That's precisely why it's calculated based on household need relative to income

46k isn't living in the ghetto in fl where you hear gunshots at night and unironically shop at dollar general. i prefer aldi and they have toilet paper also. most people are shitty with money and money doesn't go far in Florida so I guess I should feel bad you can't make it on 46. file for bankruptcy bc you must be way in over your head with debt.

The reason that meme exists is because if you want anything cheap and healthy you need to make it yourself from scratch. Cooking is a pain in the ass and takes time... it's the hardest part of getting fit for me personally.

Compare that to buying some ultra fatty/sugary snack food with 800 calories/serving and which only needs to be opened before you can eat it. If Walmart didn't have their awesome pre-made salads I'd still be eating either that snack shit or loaves of bread.

This is false and autistic. Rice, beans and starches are cheap as dirt, and are quite calorie dense. Eggs have a good ratio calories/prices too imo. No one eats limes, kale, lettuce etc as a source of calories.

>1 kg dried lentils: less than 1.5€
>2 kg rice: a bit more than 1.5€

That's 10.5k calories for less than 3 €. Lets say the average guy needs 2000 cals, so you can feed a family of 4 adults during a week for less than 16€, and you can probably find it cheaper if you buy on a bulk too. Spend the extra 15€ on cheap veggies, and you can probably change part of the lentils for fats too (75g of protein per day is 20g more than what most sedentary americans need).

But yeah, america is fucking stupid no matter what.

$30 = £20

1 week, 1 person.
prices taken from packaging in my fridge and pantry, mostly bought at tesco.

500g steak mince = £1.70
onion and garlic pasta sauce 1kg = £1
500g wholegrain pasta = £1
8 soft taco shells = £1
1 head of lettuce = 50p
4 onions = £1
6 bulbs of garlic = £1
8 tortia wraps = £1
12 eggs = £1.20
1.5kg flour = 60p
1kg jar curry sauce = £1
2kg brown rice = £1
2 naan breads = £1
bag of sliced bread = £1.40
jar of penut butter = 80p
500g grated chedder cheese = £2
250g chicken breast = £1
400g smoked backon = £1
2 bell peppers = 80p

total = £20 (all item costs are rounded up to the nearist 0.10)

With this shopping list i have choices all week depending on what i want, e.g.
chicken and rice
chicken curry, homemade onion bajis and naan breads
chicken pasta
mince pasta and cheese
tacos
borittos
pb sandwiches
bacon sandwiches
armadillo eggs
pancakes
ect...

This shit is easy, and the next week the shopping will be even cheaper as you wont use up all those onions, flour, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, sometimes eggs, flour, peanut butter.

I live on close to the same budget and I work and feed 2 people.

Obviously its alot cheaper here in england but thats no excuse, im bulking well on this, so they can at least maintain.

We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote general social concern and less materialism in young people.
