What is your bench/squat/diddy ratio? I've been lifting for about 18 months now, doing 5x5 on all three lifts, and I seem to be gaining a lot more on bench than anything. My squat and diddy are lacking. Here are my starting stats.
>6 ft, 158 lb
>bench 1RM 180lb
>squat 1RM 210lb
>diddy 1RM 170lb
Current stats
>6ft, 163 lbs
>bench 1RM 270lb
>squat 1RM 290lb
>diddy 1RM 305lb
Any one else having issues with certain lifts. My bench I'm happy with but I think my squat and dead lift are really lacking.

<6 ft, 265 lbs.
>bench 1RM 275lbs.
>squat 1RM 405lbs.
>deadlift 1RM 435lbs.

I have the opposite problem.

lol youre fucking lying.

5'10, 165 lbs, been training for nearly 2 years, 1RM are as follows
>bench 275 lbs
>squat 330 lbs
>diddly 375 lbs
How does it look? I know my squat and dl are shit, granted I didn't to them for my first year of lifting (I know, stupid) which is why I recently did SS for a couple of months to bring them up to speed
any tips for deadlifts? Progress is horrifyingly slow
>>
in 18 months, your 1RM on squat went from 210 to 290?

that's terrible. i started lifting 2 months ago, doing SS so im squatting 3x5 3 times a week and my squat went from 95 3x5 to 225 3x5 in 2 months.
my bench went from 95 3x5 to 185 3x5 in 2 months.

something is seriously wrong with your routine or diet

Was the 95 your max weight at 3x5? If not, then your max weight was higher at the start and you didn't increase your max weight as much as you think
>>
>>37253937
Jesus christ what the hell is the guy doing with his elbows in the squat
>>
>>37254109
Nah man those are pretty good gains for your weight

I forgot to mention I had a minor leg injury that prevented me from squatting and dead lifting for about a month but yeah it still isn't a good improvement. I out bench all my friends (even the fat ones) by 40lbs but they are all squatting in the 300s and two above 400

I do eat like shit but my routine is the same as my other lifts and yes I do go parralel

you have a good point and i failed to take that into consideration. when i first started i was weakling so i purposely didnt want to push my self too hard in the start because i need to be able to walk quickly at work.

by now though, squatting 3x a week and adding 5 LB each time is brutal.

the idea behind SS is that, as a novice trainer, you are so weak that any weight you lift is so lightweight that you can recover from the exercise within two days.

i remember coach rip said that young men can get their squat to approximately 400 LB using SS - after that, 400 LB is too much weight to recover from in two days so you have to move on to an intermediate routine like the texas method.

im at 225 and my goal is 400, so thats 175 more LB. if i add +5LB every workout and accomplish every lift then it would take 35 more work outs, but it doesn't seem realistic that i could accomplish +5LB all the way through, so let's say i only add +2.5LB every workout. thats 70 workouts. 70 workouts / 3 workouts a week = 23.3 weeks to reach my goal, we'll round up to 24 weeks. 24 weeks / 4 weeks in a month = 6 months to reach my goal, worst case scenario in which my squat only goes up 2.5 LB every workout instead of 5 like it is now.

Just the other day I The Pressed 135, benched 225, and deadlifted 315.

My squats are another story. I've never tried to 1RM on squats, but I work out with 160 5x5, so I'm guessing my 1RM would be somewhere around 190-200ish maybe?

My Squat sucks ass
My diddy is great
My bench is okay

SQ 148kg 1RM (120kg x7)
DL 204kg 1RM (152.5kg x10)
BP 115kg 1RM (85kg x10)

I haven't benched in a month.
I haven't progressed on my squat in a month.
My deadlift increased by 20kg in a month.
>>
Starting:
>squat 60kg
>bench 30kg
>deadlift 80kg

Now:
>squat 130kg
>bench 75kg
>deadlift 170kg

All 5RMs. Been lifting seriously for a few months. Yes, I know my bench sucks.
>>
>>37254501
How the fuck did you even overload
Staying for months on the same weight on bench?
>>
>>37253937

Exercising the fatass away for 8 months; 7.5 months lifting.

>6'2", 200 lbs ~11.5%
>155/255/360/435

OHP to bench ratio for most is around 60-65%
Ideal squat to bench is 1.35x (my bench is shit)
>>
Oh boy, I know my bench is lacking.
Currently,
>5'2, 50 kg
>squat 65kg
>dead 50kg
>bench 30kg
