Are they dangerous? How are they on the joints? Meme exercise or legit?
Close Grip Bench Thread

Been doing them. pretty good exercise for triceps, helps a lot.
Obviously you'll be doing less weight than normal bench, so if you are an ego lifter or worried about what others faggots will say of your baby weight, just do some other shit.

I can actually do ore weight on close grip than I can medium or wide grip. Its easier on the shoulders so I like them better.

Also how would this translate into regular bench
That guy is going to have some nice big zits on his back lying on that filthy bench shirtless

And you are retarded
>tfw feel pump more in chest doing close grip
Ideal movement is for your grip to slide inwards as you push so close hand is good for targeting pecs.

Make sure your elbows stay close to your torso.

They are great, you'll see them included in a lot of pro's routines. That said, I omit them just because I don't do triceps the same day as chest, I do them on legs day. Which would mean reconfiguring the power rack for bench in my homegym just to do a tricep isolation, something I can do a million other ways without dragging in the bench, adjusting the pegs, loading plates, etc. If I'm at a commercial gym with standalone bench's ready to go I do them though.
The most common pointer I hear about them is that people try to go to narrow, with hands only an inch or two apart. They shoulder be just inside the shoulders.
