For 'positional strength' in the recovery of the snatch you could do Pause OHS at different points--so, for instance, take a pause in the bottom, then another at the 'sticking point', then another at lock out. If not, record yourself and post videos in online forums like this and maybe someone will say something helpful every once and awhile, maybe.

I train weightlifting, but only for fun. I don't and don't plan on competing. Also my training is completely imbalanced (on purpose) as I don't train upperbody. So it's not like I'd be able to compete well anyways even if I wanted to (and I don't).

My wei-ruis were 7.5, but they were way wider than the PL2 and still felt loose. The PL2 fits ok. A tiny bit longer from perfect, but fits nicely on the sides so that's already way better than the wei-ruis.

You are correct in that the clean is often not caught at rock bottom, even at heavy weights, it's usually caught a bit high (though below parallel) so you can bounce out of the bottom.

The snatch however is caught as low as possible, the weights are not difficult to stand up with.

Flexibility is very important, but there are some lifters who make up for a lack of it in certain areas with extreme flexibility in others.

do hangs from the power position and work on catching at parallel. The issue you're probably having is that you can't separate pulling the bar up with pulling the bar under, and just focus on keeping elbows up. That should help.

As for powers, don't worry about that part too much, but try sliding your feet outwards when you power it, deliberately moving them to your catch width. Start super light and try it as you increase weight. Eventually you should be able to make sure that the heavier a power gets, the lower you catch (in terms of knee angle) rather than the wider you stand.

using the bar for serious tech practice is worthless because you're just gonna effortlessly muscle it up anyway
put some weight on the thing, not enough to strain/exhaust you, but it should force you to utilize proper technique

Do something like

Mon: Snatch tech, snatch pull
Tue: Squat, push press
wed: Rest
Thu: C&J tech, C&J pull
Fri: Rest
Sat: Snatch, C&J, Front squat
Sun: Rest

Go light on tech days, and don't go heavy on pulls yet, focus on positions and good rhythm. Do something like 5x5 for squats and push press. On saturday add intensity and a bit more weight, take a video of these sets and ask for form check.

Also add core + bodybuilding stuff after every session. If you want to train more often, add one more squat and push press day.

Beginner here.

I have postural kyphosis. I've noticed it's been affecting my lifts. I've begun doing stretches/exercises to remedy this problem, but I could use some guidance with this.

So, my question is: would most coaches know how to remedy kyphosis?

I think most would probably direct you to a professional specialised on fixing people's postures.
Though I'm sure they know plenty of mobility drills and stretches themselves. But posture fixing is more than just that.
