Still, in 100% of cases, being overweight REQUIRES one to also overeat. Your body will not store energy in fat cells if you don't give it excess energy to begin with.
So, yes, some people have genes that favor them eating correctly (though this is more nurture and less nature, if a child learns how to eat right they'll likely become an adult who also knows how to eat right), and some people have genes that favor exercise ("I just LIKE to run!"). The reason fat people tend to have fat children is because they have poor impulse control and bad food habits and then they TEACH their kids those bad habits. Habits like eating a pizza a day, or eating until you feel good, rather than until you stop feeling hungry. Habits that fat kids will have a huge issue with getting rid of once they've gone two decades with them.
