Workout in the gym went well, considering the failure that was my attempt at home. Who would've thunk eating is important kek

Did (8cm) deficit cleans & power jerks. Got to 60kg and it went smooth, though the jerk wasn't very pretty.

Then I put 62kg on the bar and just stayed there holding it, squatted down, for 10 whole minutes without actually pulling it. The spirit was willing, but the body and the mind just weren't there.
When I finally pulled it my body just gave up in the middle of it and I ended up just deadlifting it up without cleaning.

But at least it was a decent workout.

If you lack the mobility or the acromion shape genetics, then you can fuck your shit up. I'd personally be more worried about the forward head position that puts you at risk for a cervical disc herniation. If you have good acromion shape and mobility, I'm not sure how bad it would be on your rotator cuff.

Coming from TM where I did squat +bench + SLDLs and DB press on monday
tuesday was an upper back/lat/biceps accesoory day, wednesday was OHP and recovery bullshit, Friday intensity all 3, then saturday more BBer type upper back and lat work

Are these programs suited for that kind of customization? Maybe I should just email nuckols.

The lift is perfectly fine.
The problem is that the glenohumeral joint usually (depends on genetics) doesn't have much space for the tendons to move around when you go too much into adduction + external rotation (though this can be minimized by the movement of the scapulae) or abduction + internal rotation.
So your tendons can get caught, impinged, or "sawn off" during lifts like these.

If you have good mobility, or lucky genetics, then you'll be fine.

For the BTN press, you can simply avoid complete adduction if you're doing multiple reps, or if you're gonna lower it all the way down, don't slow it down on the eccentric too much (learn to catch it on the traps like vid related).
And don't overdo the weights. Use it as an assistance lift and keep yourself inside a safe RPE range.

And again, keep your mobility work in check.

It depends how mobile you already are, and your genetics.
I like doing long snatch holds. Move the bar (not barbell) away from you, as if you were doing a dislocation, but don't lower it. Just let it go as far as it can and hold it. It's a good stretch.

Don't try to overdo it on the first workout.

And as with anything, if you start feeling pain or discomfort, it's best not to keep going.

On the topic of me not making it, I'm not sure what to do with my squat. I feel like I've regressed on it, and I have no idea how. I mean, I'll know what's truly up with it next week, but I'm fairly concerned. Bench before cut was 250x3x5, repped put 225x9 last week, hoping for 235x8-9 this week. I'll probably get 7 though. Ohp before cut was 145x4. On Monday I repped 135x7. Squat is shit, was at 295x5 before my cut. Today I struggled with 280x4. And deadlift isn't terrible, got 365x5 before my cut, repped 325x7 last week. My progress for squat seems to be absolute garbage, but ohp, bench, and deadlift feel great. Might upload a form check soon.

I started the under 80kg from his website (http://sheiko-program.ru/forum/index.php?topic=15.0) after a two week vacation, so my work capacity wasn't too good at that point either. It starts off easy enough anyhow, it's like three weeks until the first really tough squat workout.

Sessions for me ranged from an hour and a half to two hours, it has 3x weekly sessions, only two of which are squat oriented.

well the program is designed for you to succeed and it builds you up pretty well as you go along. my first day with 70%x5x5 on squats I was sucking air, but week three starts off with 80%x3x5 followed by 70%x5x5 and I did the second bout beltless/highbar and only hit maybe @8 or so, so you shouldn't get crushed.

I need advice on rebuilding strength and strongman general. My routine looks like this now.

Day 1
HBBS to 5 rep max, old PR was 405x4/455x1, back up to 350x5 now. Doing this all beltless and pausing the last rep.

Usually go 275x5, 315x5, 335x5, 350x5, will try for 360 next time

Push Pressx2+Push Jerkx1 to max, starting at 135 and ramping up by 20 to 5lbs depending, max Push Press is only 215ish right now

Deadlift until I can only hit a weight for 5 reps
Hitting 5+ reps on all proceeding sets

Debating whether or not I should switch to higher reps for deadlifts. My long term goal is 495x10 beltless/strapless. PR was like 525x3 on conventional, so long ways to go.

Farmer's Walk with 350-375 depending on feel for 5 sets of 40m

Day 2
Power Clean to max triple
Front Squat to max triple
Close Grip Bench to 5 rep max

Overhead Carry 135 for 5 sets of 40m

My bench is relatively shit for the amount of time I've been lifting, I hit 355lbs for a single recently. I personally keep my back pretty flat and my feet flat.
