I sometimes take a few weeks off, and so do other people. Not a big deal. Just go back. Unless it's some culty jiu jitsu gym where you expect you to go every class. Who cares?

Not him I am currently 6"0 and 165 up from 150. Right after I come back from muh 10th planet I eat a sandwich consisting of 4 tablespoons peanut butter a banana and two slices of bread. Have been gaining steadily.

Do you mix takedowns in? If you don't use your legs they won't maintain themselves. Regardless, it's more core than anything for transitioning.
