I'm bulking on 3000 kcal, and I can barely keep it all down.
How do you do this /fit/?

You forget that there are so many foods out there that while not being the best for you are very calorie dense.

The easiest way I find, is to be snacking on mixed nuts. There are like 800kcal per cup

I run every morning to the gym, followed by a fuckhuge breakfast of around 1200 kcals.

Years of slow practice. Growing up I was a stringbean and rode my bicycle everywhere. Got married, did the 9-5, didn't have much money to eat right, and definitely didn't have the will power to eat less. I started lifting back in Sep and I think its about time for a cut. Im 6'1" 280 now with a goal of 230.

i was relatively thin my whole life
i went into a bulking phase of eating 7-8000kcals CLEAN a day
eat every 2 hours, even if you're not hungry, put down SOMETHING
you get better at it, and really it's not that hard

Just space out your meals and they will be more manageable. It's important that you start early. I remember I used to skip breakfast and my first meal at 2 in the afternoon. Now right when I wake up I put 150g of müsli in my bowl with whole fat milk and that's like 800kcal right there in the first hour.

If bulking was supposed to be hard, then why are there 4 kcals per 1g carbs and protein and 9(nine!) kcals in a gram of fat? And only 2500 kcalories in a day? And that's before you even get to nighttime drinking...

That works for most people. I generally eat 4 times a day, on lift days I'll eat 1k calories 4 times and on rest days I'll eat 800 calories 4 times.

You don't need to track calories. You can just track body fat and weight. Increase or decrease portion sizes until they track in the right direction.

Take advantage of protein smoothies, you can get those things upwards of 1000 calories depending on what you put in them. Also, time them well.
My day goes,
Protein smoothie as soon as I wake up (just protein, oats, water), 700cal
Brunch, 600cal
Late lunch (because of work) 600 cal
Dinner, 800 cal
Pre-bed meal is whatever calories I need to crack 3000+, usually 6 weet bix for carbs, and a wpc shake. About 400 cal.

Former fatty here. I can snack on crappy 3500 kcal pizza hut pizzas. When I'm bored I boil a pack of spaghetti, cover it in tomato sauce and groundbeef and devour it one sitting. I can easily eat 5 tostis wiyh ham and 2 kinds of cheese for breakfast and still be hungry.

Is that not normal? Is eating supposed to be hard?

I used to be skinnyfat and I had an easy time eating a shitton of calories, did a bulk and then a 6 month cut and lost 40lbs.

After that cut I've had a legitimately difficult time feeling hungry and I had to use mass gainer to get >3k cals per day.

Now cutting again is easy as fuck since I just cut out the 1k cals from a gainer shake and eat exactly the same as before to go from 500 cals over maintenance to 500 under.

6'3, 208lbs, working out 4-5x per week. currently eating 4200kcal per day, clean. hardly even bulking.
