Anytime hot gasses enter your lungs it's bad for you. That being said, there are 4 ingredients in ejuice: propyl glycol, vegetable glycol, nicotine, and artificial flavouring. In cigarettes, there are a ton of different additives that are carcinogenic.
If you make sure the ejuice you're getting is diacetyl free, it's not terribly bad for you compared to cigarettes, cigars, etc.

Well, I was stupid enough to start smoking sigs when I was dumb teen. Vaping helped me quit. I started out with juices containing nicotine and gradually stepped down to nicotine free. Now I only vape when I'm in situations where I get cravings, like when I drink with friends who smoke (which is rare, but happens). Or at parties after a big nice meal - again, if I'm accompanied by smokers - helps me stay away from the tobacco for good.
