There's just a new generation on 4chan now. I've noticed that especially /fit/ (one of the most normalfag boards) is starting to look a lot like facebook.
For example everbody is using the word meme unironically. These kids grew up with facebook and 9gag, they wore trollface shirts etc.
It's just the way things are changing, just wait and see in a few years
