I don't know about this guy, but I watched the video, and the first two exercises he does are very good for it. Don't know about the DL thing.
Also squat a lot. Like, remain in a slav squat position a long time. This will stretch out your lower back.
Get to it right away, it takes a long time to fix. But you will feel absolutely magical afterwards.
