Anyway I'm at about a month of 1500 cal. per day. Last night I made a whole bunch of grilled chicken breast with chili pepper, cumin, and lime.

Just made a salad with that chicken, red pepper, jalapeno, onion, cilantro and a little southwest dressing. Delicious.

I've never done a proper cut since I started lifting, but have stayed relatively lean. I really want to try to get shredded, but I'm so scared of going down in my lifts. I've always been doing powerlifting routines and chasing numbers.

This is the hardest part.
I honestly don't know people enjoy this. Although this is my first time trying to workout in the morning, I do enjoy that fact that it doesn't cut into my day. Normally I would come home from work and all I would want to do is relax. But being a game developer, I really get to relax all day. So it works out well.

I'm in that range. Sitting here at 150 pounds and can see them when I pull my stomach tight and flex. I used to be a bit of a fatty though, so it's been harder for me to cut that last bit of lower stomach fat.

Last year I weighed 140 pounds and had the same issue, so I'm making progress after my bulk. I've learned that while abs are "made in the kitchen" you really do need to work them like any other muscle. Do ab rollouts, planks, and hanging leg raises.

My guess is if I can keep up the weight loss and cardio, I'll probably have definition without flexing at 140 pounds this year.

Well, it could be a couple things:

1. If you have been cutting for a long time, your metabolism has now adjusted to a low calorie intake. This is hurting you, especially since losing more weight means your body needs even fewer calories (your TDEE goes down). Some experts recommend a week or two diet break (not a binge or bulk) to help reset yourself.

2. It probably isn't a metabolism problem. Chances are you are just really bad at counting calories and monitoring what you eat. Cut out all unnecessary food or drink, especially stuff with sugar. Reevaluate and cut normally for a month to see if this changes things.

3. All of this assumes you are working out during the week. I cut at 1300 and lift four times a week, do some HITT cardio, and some minor ab work at home. Use the calculator below to see where your TDEE is at, you should be cutting at -500 your TDEE.

Down from 182 to 140. Been trying a variation of IF and it helped me through a plateau I was having at 145.

Only problem is...I had a cheat day on Sunday. It was the second time I experienced this and to be honest it kinda scared me. So, any similar situations you guys have been through?

So, two weeks ago, I had a cheat day. Hit the 145 goal, had been craving a gyro. Got a gyro and fries. Come home, eat the bastard. About 30 minutes later, my stomach is in a shit load of pain. I look in the mirror, and the top of my fucking stomach looks like an african kid. Distended, it's tight, hurts. Like a brick just sitting there.

So i think, well, I ate a greasy gyro, thats all it was.

Then on Sunday, I go to a party and have a coupke bowls of chips. Some prtezels, shit like that, Son't partake in the T Bell because I think "well, I dont wanna be in pain again. Finish off my chips (maybe a serving of funyons, some pretzel bites, a couple cheddar chips, whatever)

Get home, SAME FUCKING THING. Im bloated at the top of my stomach, not as much, but it still hurts, there is a visable lump, tightness, whatever. Goes away after a few hours.

I've NEVER had bloating before. What the fuck is going on? This is the thinnest and most fit ive ever been in my life and now im afraid to even go out to dinner. Whats happening?

That was around the pattern I went.
The problem is once you start trying to strictly lose weight the closer you get to your ideal body fat the less you lose monthly.
I lost 10lbs the 1st month, I am now losing less and less weight.
The first year a lot of fat losing gains are to be made, but beyond the first year is the real test. Losing that last little bit is a challenge.

I did good for a while but fucked up. I still live at home and my family constantly gets and makes shit food. And when I don't eat it or eat with them they bitch at me. They buy pounds of cheese and snacks because they expect us to eat it and then make some huge ass dinner that alone would exceed my daily calorie allowance. Of course they still tell me I should eat better but when I don't eat with them or do a diet that they personally would do they say I'm being unhealthy.

I did 500cal a day for one week to try and help me get into the mindset and I felt fine, hell I felt great, but every day they bitched at me. I go to bed earlier than them so I try to eat dinner earlier but when I don't eat with them they assume I'm eating junk food.

Last time I binged, I basically lost all craving for that shitty food. I've got a plan for when I want something unhealthy (e.g candy, a cookie, cheese, etc) so that I don't get bad cravings later. I'll let myself have 150-200 cals worth of something unhealthy at some point during the week, then I'll do some extra exercise just in case.

Much better than eating 3000 cals over budget after weeks of dieting.

If you're going to binge, make it one big meal (don't eat anything before or after), and don't deny yourself anything. You'll feel sick (at least I did) at the end, and you should hopefully crave those foods less.

How much food are we talking here? Are you within your calorie limits? That's what'll fuck you up the most. You can't be on a 1500 cal diet, and then eat 3000 cals, 1500 of which are chips, and not expect side-effects.

I think it's going well. I'm back in the gym after years of not caring. I've dropped 10 lbs in he last 4 weeks. Eating at a 1900 cal max, but I've been clearing about 100 on most days.

I did have a slip last weekend. I ended up ordering a pizza and skipping the gym to beat Dark Souls 3. But I don't think one cheat day in a month will kill me. Just can't make it a regular thing.

My lifts are progressing, and my cardio is getting better.

I downloaded a stupid little App called Rock Clock that wakes you up to The Rock's voice in several variations. It includes a motivational every day as well. But getting called a jabroni if I lay in bed makes me get up for my morning workout.

So tired today though. I'm not sure why, but I was wired all night in bed. Couldn't get to sleep for anything. I started taking an EAA supplement. Putple Wraath. Anyone had insomnia with this shit?

Strength training is essential to those goals. As a fatty, you're going to have loose skin as you drop the weight. Adding some muscle mass helps with that. What the other Anon said about the increased calorie burn after resistance training is true as well. You'll slim down much faster if you get on a program. I'm not about aesthetics either, but performance and aesthetics training actually have a shitload in common.

Dropped from 192 to 180 in roughly 2 months.
Quit drinking alcohol and soda. Only water and occasionally michelada mix with carbonated water.
Cardio 3-4 times a week, lift 5-6 times a week.

Ask if the gym has any work you can do in exchange for a membership. There's a couple of broke buff mexicans at my gym. They mop the floors, take out the trash, clean the equipment, and regularly walk through putting plates back in the correct rack positions. Going really well. Been at it for a little over a month and have lost a couple inches off my waist and am starting to see my abs a little bit. My face is way less bloated too.
I've grown to enjoy cardio, which is a weird feel. And eating (mostly) vegetarian feels pretty good too desu. I've become a pro at making homemade stirfry sauces.
Had a bit of a lapse this weekend with a bottle of vodka, but didn't pig out or stop cardio so it was nothing detrimental.

Some people develop binge eating habits after stopping it, especially if they're eating large amounts of very lean food. If you're utilizing more fats it's less likely to happen because of the smaller meal size.

Every TDEE calculator I've checked gave me about 3500 calories per day
I do 2 hour bike sessions about 3 times a week and dumbells exercises 3 times a week in between.

I do high protein, moderate fat, and low carb, doing one good sized meal for dinner, and basically doing yogurt, cottage cheese, protein shakes, or canned fish for snacks throughout the day. I'm never hungry, and never really full. Dinner usually includes a pound of high fiber vegetables to keep me regular.

5'6" here. at 160 my abs and muscle mass are visible. bfat percentage probably at 12%. if you reach 140lb, youll probably at 8% bfat though i know a guy who's same heigh as me, 210lbs but bfat levels are at 8% probably due to early start and drugs

Ingredient by ingredient. When I make a salad for example, I put the bowl onto the scale and after putting in an ingredient, I note the weight on a piece of paper, then reset the scale and so on. Afterwards I use some online calculator and add up calories and macros to write them into my spreadsheet. The calculator I use allows for changing macros of foof if you know them (nutri-info on the package or the like)

Nice sideeffect: Over the time this leads to recipes for meals. My breakfast p. ex. I have already precalulated and I do this every morning in the same manner.

Be prepared for this (weighting your food) being a nuisance at first.
