It should not take you 18 months to exhaust progress on SS ... should be closer to 6-9months if you follow it faithfully. I made a fuck ton of mistakes along the way as I only really had myself to rely on ... on the flipside I stayed relatively injury-free and really kept my technique under a microscope

Why would you stop SS if you're still making gains?
Don't fix what ain't broken.
Or are you gonna whine about T-Rex legs and such. How about you just decrease the squat frequency and add some pull-ups or other complementary exercises.

I added dips on workout A and chin-ups on workout B. After some months I added skullcrushers and curls.
