So is:
>ice cream
>pastries of any kind

>carne asada
>>
>>37018935

What about 200g walnuts? They cover like half of my calories plus all the omega 3 fats for the day. Am I just cheating?

>>37018999
Not a complete source of protein. You're going to have to look up the amino acid profile and find the amino acid it's missing, then consume something that and it will become a complete protein.
>>
>>37018602
>slice of cooked bacon
>42kcal
>3g protein
>0.1g carbs
>3.2g fat
>1g saturated
>1.8g unsaturated
Didn't believe it until I looked at the macros but sure, knock yourself out. 1-3 a day should really be no issue. Most of your protein should still come from low fat sources though.
>>
>>37019082

It's not missing any amino acids
>>
>>37018602
Nitrites are carcinogenic, that's fucking why. Enjoy stomach and bowel cancer retard. You think you're gonna be hitting a new squat PR when you have to wear a colostomy bag to the gym? Don't fucking think so.

Seriously preserved meats with sodium nitrate or nitrite are really something to avoid. They're up there with trans fats as something your kids will look back on with horror. They're poison.

No one's going to comment on those undercooked eggs?

I mean i like my eggs a bit undercooked, with the runny yolk, but I'm surprised.

They don't look undercooked, they just look like they're covered in melted cheese. OP's on one of those dumb fatty diets.

http://circ.ahajournals.org/content/119/6/902.full

>AA is the substrate for the production of a wide variety of eicosanoids (20-carbon AA metabolites). Some are proinflammatory, vasoconstrictive, and/or proaggregatory, such as prostaglandin E2, thromboxane A2, and leukotriene B4. However, others are antiinflammatory/antiaggregatory, such as prostacyclin, lipoxin A4,11 and epoxyeicosatrienoic acids.12 Epoxyeicosatrienoic acids are fatty acid epoxides produced from AA by a cytochrome P450 epoxygenase. Epoxyeicosatrienoic acids also have important vasodilator properties via hyperpolarization and relaxation of vascular smooth muscle cells.13 Importantly, because the production of AA from LA is tightly regulated,14 wide variations in dietary LA (above minimal essential intakes) do not materially alter tissue AA content.15

Speculation about AA also relies on the ratio between omega-3 and omega-6, not total omega-6 content, and walnuts have a 4:1 omega-6:3 ratio, which is pretty good, especially among nuts

Bacon is saturated fat, which is found in most fatty animals and some dairy, and is bad for you in quantities higher than around 20g/day.

Transfat is the only fat considered more dangerous and mostly comes from vegetable oils, but regulations (at least in the UK) mean we don't eat too much of this shit any more.

>>37018999
Walnuts are quite fatty but otherwise an excellent nutritional food, eat away.
>>37019197
The western diet is cripplingly low in omega 6 to omega 3 ratio, hence why walnuts are considered smart food, they help restore that balance and thus help lubricate the synapses of the brain indirectly.
>>
>>37018602
You'll get sick of it, and not appreciate it as much.
>>
>>37019480

>and is bad for you in quantities higher than around 20g/day.

The lower the better, really. The bad doesn't start at 20g.
>>
>>37018999
that's nearly 100g of pufa... enjoy your oxidative stress
>>
>>37019520
Fair comment, except to quantify that saturated fat CAN contribute to health, especially in diets severely restricted in calories or animal product. Hence why coconuts are so valuable and important in the tropics.
>>
>>37019535

Walnuts are one of the most antioxidant-rich foods around.
>>
>>37018941

WOuldnt coconut oil be better?
>>
>>37018602
do you weight your bacon? because it seems that a shit ton of bacon.
>>
>>37019611
and yet they go rancid at room temperature
>>
>>37019713
Coconut oil is packed with saturated fat. Arguably healthier than sat fats from animal products but still definitely worse than olive oil in terms of health

As if you will get cancer from eating bacon as part of a healthy and balanced diet.
>>
>>37018813
Oh fuck yeah. And some fresh bell peppers too.
>>
>>37021267
Any processed meat is bad for you.

Plus most people who eat processed meat don't have a healthy and balanced diet.

You get cancer from eating shit, nothing new there.
>>
>>37019123
Nitrates are important for cardiovascular health.
>>
>>37021364
Nitrosamines are not though, and those are formed when you cook and when you digest nitrates.

>sat fat bad
hahahaha
>>
>>37018602
I did for a good long while (during a keto diet that lasted 8 months and admittedly worked wonders for weight loss).

Ruined myself on it, completely scarred up my large intestine from chronic constipation despite my best efforts otherwise. Not the bacon's fault there, though, it's just impossible to get the requisite fiber.

I still miss eating bacon daily.
>>
>>37021372
Better stop eating cooked vegetables then, They are stuffed with nitrates.

I have to go with the other anon, saturated fats (in themselves) aren't the enemy.
>>
>>37021426
>Not experiencing the intense flavors individually
Do you put ketchup on your mac and cheese too
>>
>>37021394
That's a completely different compound. Nitrosamines occur in meats preserved by sodium nitrite and are highly carcinogenic.

I do 4 strips a day on the George Foreman grill. I'm amazed at how much fat runs off, I think it collects more fat than there is actual bacon left over, in terms of sheer physical volume.

I'm not sure what it does to the numbers exactly, but I am still definitely losing weight, so it clearly fits my macros.
>>
>>37019084
>Most of your protein should still come from low fat sources though.

Why? You need the fat anyways, so there's no harm in double dipping.
