Thanks man! I've been so insecure with my legs ever since my injury, it's really messed with my head.

As far as routine, I was a sprinter for most of my youth so I've always had decent calves. I just do calf raises at the end of my leg workout (aka squats+RDLs), but honestly, I feel like I don't get anything from them. Even my squats are only half of what they use to be (225 5x5 when I was crushing 400++ a year ago).
It's mainly diet, I guess, I've really shredded down, so my legs have also come a long way.

I know how it goes. I've been super conservative pushing my legs and back. I roll it back whenever I feel unusual pressure, which is often. I deal with the pain every single day. It sucks, but I'm still making progress, about 5-10lbs a Month.

I feel like I could compete maybe next year when my legs put on back enough mass to balance my upper body. As a natty I think I could place decently. Who else, desu, I'm just happy I can lift legs again. There was a long, dark time where I was afraid I'd never be able to lift legs/have a balanced physique again.

Your #1 most important point is to make sure you're maintaining your caloric surplus. Keeping your macros in order is also obviously important, but even if you get your protons, you won't make shit for gains if you don't eat at a surplus.

OK, I'm about 135 lbs (which is around 10 lbs more than when I started lifting at least), do you think 3000 cals a day is appropriate? That's what I've been shooting for recently, and different calorie calculators give me different estimates of how much to eat.

I've been trying to follow what the sticky says, but I'm not sure I was doing things correctly up until pretty recently.

Add 500 calories to your BMR, wait a week. If you gained 1 lb in that week, keep going, if not, add 500 more calories and repeat. Adjust as needed in 100lb increments to try to balance out to gaining 1 lb/week to maximize muscle gain while minimizing fat gain.

Yep that's the way to go, I mainly eat oatmeal and sometimes brown rice for carbs, then rest is like chicken breast, egg whites from carton, protein powder (juice flavor) with water, non fat cottage cheese and lot's and lot's of greens like kale, spinach, green beans and etc. I would eat those foods 7 times a day, by separating it in a tupper ware to keep myself metabolized. I avoid sodium as much as I can since I hate bloating.

But this is like my cutting meal, so if you aren't cutting then you should be eating more caloric dense stuff.
