Want to start lifting, what is the best type of equipment to get for home use? Physical space is not a concern
Barbell (20kg olimpic), plates, bench, power cage (or whatever you call this shit with safety bars), eventually some dumbells, then you can think of setting up some cables and maybe an ez bar? Whatever you need by then.

A pullup bar is essential. And if you can do a pullup you need to commit suppuku

I'm pretty lankey and skinny fat, its kinda gross. Is bench press most effective for building muscle on arms?
>>36986893
doing only benchpress will leave you with awful imbalances, you'll look like quasimodo with rotated shoulders.
bench involves your tricep which is 2/3 of your arm muscle, and it should be enough for the very first months of lifting (that's what others claim at least) but for gods sake add some diddlys and squats too, just don't snap your shit up. best is to get a gym membership for the first month and ask people to show you proper form
sorry if this makes no sense but i'm tired of everything, so ask if you don't understand shit

Power cage with a built in pull up and dip station, bench, and barbell with plenty of weight. All you need to start.

What is a diddly
Squatting just on my own or using weights in the process?

Not even close. Bench Press is primarily for chest
Biceps = Any kind of curls
Triceps = Skullcrushers, French Press, etc
Forearms = Farmers walks

Thanks, I'll make sure to include these too. I have light moobs unfortunately as well, I read that bench press may only worsen it, is that true?
