I get lower back pain while doing ohp, what am I doing wrong?

It just feels that way. Arching your back incorporates your whole erector spinae. That's what you need to develop to maintain a neutral spine with compound lifts.

DB and BB are both equally great.

Be careful though doing only one and not the other, I have very strong triceps comparatively and this ended up taking over during my DB Press creating minimal shoulder gains.

Seated DB Press is a Delt exercise. OHP is for your traps. They work different muscles

Op you sound like a beginner, if so, I had the same issue when I started. I backed the weight way down and started working on it again after a couple weeks off to let my back recover. The issue I believe was my lower back muscles were smaller than my arm and shoulder muscles. Granted these were small too, but the back was even smaller. So when I tried to do ohp it would stress these muscles too much. Now I do ohp twice a week and have doubled my weight.

Just don't ego lift, stick to weight you can do without injury. Gains will come.
