What if I do a ULULULX instead of a PPLPPLX? Now before you scream overtraining, assume that the weekly volume is equal eg Push=3x5-2 per week/ Upper=2x5-3 times a week. Considering that one set equals 70-80% of the gains it could work better right? Next thought how about AAAAAAX whole body workout 1 set each day?

I'm doing LUULUU at the moment.
If you don't go overboard with intensity or number of sets, it's fine.
ULUL puts too much emphasis on legs imo.

I do ULRCULC

R= Rest
C= Cardio

I enjoy it. I don't think the legs get to much of an emphasis since many of the lower body movements also work your core and back.

The reason I said too much emphasis is because for legs you only really need squats and deadlifts, but for upper body you need more different exercises (bench, ohp, row, pullup, etc).

>LUULUU

There's no too much difference between this and PPLPPL

I do ULULULX but to take some strain off legs I do all my ab work on lower days. And I alternate between heavy leg lifts like squats and hill sprints. Works well enough for me.

True, I do it because LUU allows more focus on the first two lifts of each upper day.

L: squats, deadlifts
U: bench, chin-up, db ohp, db row (bench fresh, chin-up fresh)
U: ohp, row, db bench, cable pulldown (ohp fresh, row fresh)

L: squats, deadlifts
P: bench, ohp, db bench, db ohp (ohp tired after bench)
P: row, chin-up, db row, cable pulldown (chin-up tired after row)

You can just alternate with order of these main lifts.
Also, I haven't really noticed much difference between doing rows after or before chin ups. You get tired a bit, yes, but you are also warmed up well so it seems to even out (at least for me).

Yeah, I could alternate, but this way I'm fresh on bench and ohp every time.

It's also just a personal preference thing.
I just like doing presses and pulls every time better.
Neither approach is wrong, or better than the other.

I copy+pasted the routine the most muscular and aesthetic dude bro at my gym does.

He trains 7 days a week and does 2 lifts per day. He spends 1 hour or so in the gym and just spams set after set after set after set after set, back to back.

Yeah he is prob on drugs, but fuck, he looks good lol.

Pic related.

I'd put in some kind of movement that works one leg at a time. Like lunges (which I do). Other than that yeah, maybe you're right...
