You'll look better with strength training, i.e. like the dude on the left. Thicker neck, bigger traps make you look manlier and robust altogether. It's a win/win situation anyway. You don't need to be shredded, you just need to be thick at 13-16% bf, that's ideal.

as of now im lifting for aesthetics because i was never lean enough in my whole life and i've got fucked up spine so i can deadlift or squat and no one cares about your strength if you can't do 50% of basic lifts

after that, unless you compete, it is more practical to go husbando/70s-big mode.

I just push myself in whatever I feel like doing. If i wanna be lean I try to get as lean as I can, if I want to look thick I try to get as thick as I want. That's why I like lifting, I can keep manipulating my body and trying different lifting styles. I know I'll never be perfect, so I do what I want
