I try to sleep at least 8-9 hours at night (but I often fuck it up by spending too much time on the computer), and sometimes take a nap during the day if I don't have the schedule filled with classes.

Depends. At a certain point, diet becomes a bigger issue.

Keep in mind diet is less important and sleep is more important if you're on gear.

Sleep is the most important recovery tool imo. If I get less than 6 hours of sleep, I will most likely have a terrible work out even if I'm in a caloric surplus. I get 7-8 hours sleep during the week and 10+ on weekends. Maybe I'm just getting older, but I need a lot of sleep to feel primed for a workout.

Don't focus on how far you've come or how far you've got to go, just focus on the present and think about how you're laying, the temperature, the feeling of the clothes on your body etc.

Try melatonin if it's legal in your country, zma helps deeper REM sleep. Try to do as little as possible an hour or 2 before bed

I recover quickly with 8-9 hours of sleep. If I fap all night, I'm noticeably sore the next day in the muscles I worked out the day before.

Try lowering the lights at night, since they affect melatonin production in your body.
Try to also reduce the usage of the computer, and reduce the brightness.

And of course, lift and eat well during the day.

Weekends I sleep for 9-10 hours. I could sleep the entire day if I wanted but the anxiety over assignments usually gets to me.

Sleep is very difficult in any case. I can't fall asleep until 4-5am, which means on schooldays I'm an absolute wreck. If I get less than 6 hours I'm basically a walking corpse. And the emotional distress is fucking horrible, I can barely talk to someone without crying and slurring my words.

Depression sucks.

Not him, but it "works" better (assuimng it actually works at all). The problem is back in the days of incandescent bulbs you didn't have to care much the composition of the emitted light. Now with LED bulbs, LED backlit screens and stuff theres just too much blue light everywhere and it's thought to alter your melatonin levels. The glasses will block all of it no matter if you're watching TV, your cell/tablet/laptop or just reading a book under a LED bulb.

I don't like to sleep. The dreams and nightmares are pretty indistinguishable from each other, and you spend like what - 1/3 of your life sleeping? Fucking surreal what a large waste of time it is. I probably could have been 6ft if I fucking slept at all during highschool, instead now I am only a king of manlets at 5'11.
